0:01 Dr. Khalifa: I seek refuge in God from Satan the rejected (أعوذ بِٱللَّهِ مِنَ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ ٱلرَّجِيمِ) [A'oodhu billahi min ash-shaytan ir-rajeem] Bism Allah Arrahman Arraheem

0:06 [28:6] And to establish them on earth, and to give Pharaoh, Hãmãn, and their troops a taste of the suffering they have inflicted upon others.

0:15 This verse has to do with God supporting the oppressed.

0:25 This is a divine law that we see in verse 5, just before that, that God helps the oppressed.

0:37 [28:5] We willed to make it up to those who were oppressed on earth, and to turn them into dignified people, and make them the inheritors.

0:47 [28:6] And to establish them on earth, and to give Pharaoh, Hãmãn, and their troops a taste of the suffering they have inflicted upon others.

0:54 They were enslaving the children of Israel.

0:59 Now, you remember Joseph. Joseph was picked up from the well, taken to Egypt.

1:07 Eventually, he became the treasurer, and he was the man in charge of all the food for the whole world

1:14 actually, because the whole world was in the Middle East, excluding China, that area, but

1:21 that was the most active area in the world.

1:24 And people were coming to him from everywhere, including his own family, as you remember.

1:31 And then he played that trick, where they put the king's cup in his brother's goods,

1:41 kept his small brother, and then finally he told them who he was and asked them to bring his family to Egypt.

1:50 That was in Joseph's time.

1:52 So, now, his family was who? It was his father, Israel, and his mother, and his 11 brothers.

1:59 And that was the beginning of the children of Israel in Egypt.

2:03 So, they came. They were dignified. And he hosted his family in the mansion.

2:13 It was a very important era in Egypt.

2:16 Now this history in this Sura, is 300-400 years after Joseph.

2:26 And the children of Israel had multiplied and they became slaves of the Egyptians.

2:32 They looked different, just by virtue of their look and their race.

2:42 The Egyptians became racist and used them as slaves, built the pyramids, did the hard work.

2:52 So, God feels for the oppressed and makes it up to them.

2:58 It's just a quick glance at the history of Israel, the children of Israel.

3:06 And it actually reflects the greatness of the Quran, because there are many such complicated stories in the Quran, and

3:14 they flow perfectly, without a flaw, of course.

3:18 And I really appreciate this, because I tried to write the story of the Quran, and

3:25 starting with a spaceship that had 6 astronauts and 3 robots, just 9 figures.

3:35 And they were supposed to fly at the speed of light, and faster than the speed of light, and witness things.

3:42 And I was putting the story of the Quran in this way.

3:47 But I could not keep track of the 6 people and 3 robots.

3:55 I had the toughest time keeping track of who is whom, and which robot does what.

4:03 Because I just had a control room, and everyone had a duty to do. 6

4:08 6 humans and 3 robots. Did I say 9 humans?

4:11 Six? See, I can't even keep track of numbers now.

4:16 6 humans, and this officer is in charge of navigation, and this one is the captain, and this one is that, and this robot does this.

4:24 I could not keep track of 9 things. 6 humans and 3 robots.

4:29 And the Quran has hundreds of people, and God keeps track of every, the Quran keeps track of every one of them, without a single mistake.

4:37 So after all the reviews and everything, if I look back, I see that I mix the robots, who is doing what, things like that.

4:45 So, these stories were scattered throughout the Quran, but they are perfect.

4:52 Confidence in God

4:54 [28:7] We inspired Moses' mother: "Nurse him, and when you fear for his life, throw him into the river...

5:01 Does this make sense?

5:04 When it comes to God, yes.

5:08 I interrupted in the middle of the verse, because this is one of the most incredible stories.

5:12 And it must teach us the subtitle, "Confidence in God."

5:18 I mean, how can you fear for your children, when you are with God?

5:23 You don't fear for your children at all.

5:27 It's a piece of cake, raising children for the believers.

5:32 And again, God is teaching all of us through my old age and my experience.

5:38 God gave me a boy and a girl, so we can have the two kinds.

5:42 And when they are in God's hand, you don't worry one bit, one minute.

5:46 And you see, God will let you know that they are in His hand, and will let you know that they are protected.

5:54 If you worry, you're not a strong believer, you're not a good enough believer to worry.

6:00 You don't have confidence in God.

6:03 And of course, this depends on you. I mean, you better be solidly with God.

6:07 Then, you will have that confidence, and you'll not worry about your children.

6:10 They can be out in the street riding a bicycle or something. And what can you do? You can't guard them, but God can.

6:18 So here, God is telling Moses' mother, if you worry about him, throw him in the river. Who ever heard of this?

6:25 You get a basket, put a baby in there.

6:27 Can you imagine Samarukh throwing Jafar in the river?

6:32 Yeah, I mean, just to bring it to our minds.

6:37 Dr. Khalifa: Go ahead, Edip.

6:39 Edip: Does she know about Moses, her son, when he became a believer?

6:43 Dr. Khalifa: Yes.

6:45 Dr. Khalifa: When he, on his own, yeah, after he grew up, he had to make his own decisions. Edip: Yes.

6:50 Edip: Yes. After a certain age, they also (unintelligible) are not responsible for them. Dr. Khalifa: He's not responsible for them.

6:58 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah. They make their own decision.

7:35 And on that day, I had a discussion. He's young, of course, and he's entitled to his young ideas.

7:44 So, I think he made a fatal statement where I told him to thank God.

7:52 In fact, he was playing with the computer here, and the verse that came in front of him, I think he was sitting there, said "the more you thank Me, the more I give you."

8:01 That was the subject that I told him. I said "thank God for the home run."

8:05 [57:26] ... Some of them were guided, while many were wicked.

8:08 Deterioration of Religion

8:09 [57:27] Subsequent to them, we sent our messengers. We sent Jesus the son of Mary, and we gave him the Injeel (Gospel), and we placed in the hearts of his followers kindness and mercy. But they invented hermitism which we never decreed for them. All we asked them to do was to uphold the commandments approved by GOD. But they did not uphold the message as they should have. Consequently, we gave those who believed among them their recompense, while many of them were wicked.

8:39 [57:28] O you who believe, you shall reverence GOD and believe in His messenger. He will then grant you double the reward from His mercy, endow you with light to guide you, and forgive you. GOD is Forgiver, Most Merciful.

8:56 [57:29] Thus, the followers of previous scripture should know that they have not monopolized GOD's mercy and grace, and that all grace is in GOD's hand. He bestows it upon whomever He wills. GOD is Possessor of Infinite Grace.

9:12 A woman: (unintelligible)

9:15 Dr. Khalifa: Yes, the same.

9:17 Thus, the followers of previous scripture should know that they have not monopolized GOD's mercy and grace, and that all grace is in GOD's hand. He bestows it upon whomever He wills. GOD is Possessor of Infinite Grace. (ذُو ٱلْفَضْلِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ) [57:29] Yes.

9:19 A woman: (unintelligible) Dr. Khalifa: Yes.

9:23 And it is Sura 57.

9:25 And it just repeats over and over, believing in God and His messengers.

9:31 Dr. Khalifa: Very relevant to our time.

9:33 A woman: Yeah.

9:37 Parivash: They said that Sura Muhammad, 38, but Abraham, 52, and Nooh (Noah), 28. Dr. Khalifa: 28.

9:46 Parivash: None of them is a multiple of 19, but Muhammad and Rashad is a multiple because the time of Abraham and Nooh is

11:16 And the neighbors used to go to Noah and ask for allowance to take advantage of the fact that he didn't know who they were.

11:28 Dr. Khalifa: That's a joke.

11:30 Dr. Khalifa: I'm sure it happened.

11:32 Here comes a 10 year old kid "Dad, give me my allowance."

11:37 "Who are you?"

11:38 "I'm your son."

11:40 "You're sure?"

11:41 "Yes."

11:42 "Okay."

11:43 And he's the neighbor's kid.

11:48 Anyway, we know about one who went bad, so that's not bad at all.

11:51 This will not happen to us, IN SHAA ALLAH.

11:54 Because we have what, 2, 3.

11:57 And I'm positive that God will assign to our homes only good souls.

12:03 This is a whole new era.

12:05 And we have to keep in perspective what times, the time on earth it was.

12:10 So, that was one of Edip's flies in the oatmeal.

12:17 Your children are in God's hand.

12:21 Okay, back to number 7.

12:23 [28:7] We inspired Moses' mother: "Nurse him, and when you fear for his life, throw him into the river without fear or grief. We will return him to you, and will make him one of the messengers."

12:38 This is an example of God letting a human being know the future.

12:44 Throughout the Quran, we know that God picks out whomever He wills to give him future information.

12:50 And Moses' mother was one of them.

12:52 [28:8] Pharaoh's family picked him up,...

12:57 I mean, when a basket is flowing in the river, it can land anywhere.

13:02 The possibility of the basket landing at Pharaoh's palace is one in billion.

13:12 It just shows you God's control of the minutest detail in the world.

13:16 [28:8] Pharaoh's family picked him up, only to have him lead the opposition and to be a source of grief for them. That is because Pharaoh, Hãmãn, and their troops were transgressors.

13:29 Inside the Lion's Den

13:31 [28:9] Pharaoh's wife said, "This can be a joyous find for me and you. Do not kill him. He may benefit us, or we may adopt him to be our son." They had no idea.

13:44 So, you can see that Pharaoh's wife was a plant.

13:46 God planted her in the Pharaoh's palace.

13:52 He assigned that soul to that place at that time just to make this statement.

13:56 "Don't kill him."

13:59 The whole life is complicated and still is computerized by God to fit the circumstances.

14:06 Fit in this way.

14:08 As...Of course, we know that Pharaoh's wife was a fantastic believer.

14:13 Right? If you look at the end of Sura 66.

14:18 I think it is 66.

14:33 Yes, number 11, page 561.

14:36 [66:11] And GOD cites as an example of those who believed the wife of Pharaoh. She said, "My Lord, build a home for me at You in Paradise, and save me from Pharaoh and his works; save me from the transgressing people."

14:50 So, she is one of the top believers.

14:53 And she was in the home of the worst, just about the worst creature in history, Pharaoh.

15:00 Who said "I am your god."

15:04 That's how bad he was.

15:05 But she was one of the top believers. And God planted her there for this particular... I mean, one of the reasons.

15:14 So, she said

15:14 [28:9] ... Do not kill him. He may benefit us, or we may adopt him to be our son." They had no idea.

15:22 The baby obviously looked Hebrew.

15:25 But God controls the minds and the hearts of everyone, including Pharaoh.

15:29 [28:10] The mind of Moses' mother was growing so anxious that she almost gave away his identity. ...

15:35 She couldn't stand it anymore.

15:38 [28:10] ... But we strengthened her heart, to make her a believer.

15:43 [28:11] She said to his sister, "Trace his path." She watched him from afar, while they did not perceive.

15:50 The Infant Returned to His Mother

15:53 Number 12 says,

15:54 [28:12] We forbade him from accepting all the nursing mothers. (His sister) then said, "I can show you a family that can raise him, and take good care of him."

16:04 So, his sister was watching from afar. And when she saw the commotion, there's a baby screaming.

16:10 I mean, he wasn't very popular because he's...

16:12 Here's the Pharaoh's wife is trying to convince her husband to keep him. And he was making a lot of noise, hungry and crying.

16:19 There was a commotion.

16:20 And his sister volunteered the information.

16:22 I can tell you of someone who'll take good care of him.

16:26 [28:13] Thus, we restored him...

16:30 [28:13] Thus, we restored him to his mother,...

16:32 He will not... Now, here's a hungry baby who will not nurse from just any woman.

16:41 What a plot.

16:44 A Divine plot.

16:47 [28:13] Thus, we restored him to his mother, in order to please her, remove her worries, and to let her know that GOD's promise is the truth. However, most of them do not know.

16:58 "God promise is the truth."

17:01 And God promises you what you read yesterday, that He'll make you a king or queen on earth if you are with Him.

17:09 God is the one who runs everything, all the minute details. He's the one who hires and fires and provides, and creates.

17:17 [28:14] When he reached maturity and strength, we endowed him with wisdom and knowledge. We thus reward the righteous.

17:26 Moses Commits Manslaughter

17:29 [28:15] Once he entered the city unexpectedly, without being recognized by the people. He found two men fighting; one was (a Hebrew) from his people, and the other was (an Egyptian) from his enemies. The one from his people called on him for help against his enemy. Moses punched him, killing him. He said, "This is the work of the devil; he is an enemy, and a profound misleader."

17:55 Of course, the man who died did not die without God's permission.

18:00 We have the law in Sura 3. "No one dies without God's personal order."

18:08 The angels do not know when anybody will die.

18:11 Only God knows and decides.

18:13 So, God computerized it so this man will die at this moment as Moses punched him.

18:20 Why?

18:21 Because Moses will leave, will go meet Joshua, and marry his daughter

18:26 and be away from Egypt for a while and then go back to, in spite of his crime, to go back to Egypt and ask Pharaoh to believe.

18:37 So, you can see God's plan.

18:40 Something that looks bad, but it's really very good.

18:45 And this, similarly, Joseph's prison was like a school. He worked in a school and he graduated prime minister.

18:53 Dr. Khalifa: It's not bad.

18:55 Edip: I think this, Rashad, this incident makes Moses a hero. Dr. Khalifa: Yes.

19:00 Dr. Khalifa: Yes. Edip: And a hero among many tribes.

19:03 Dr. Khalifa: Exactly. Edip: It's likely.

19:05 Edip: Because he killed one of the oppressors. And this is one of the problems of the unappreciated.

19:34 Dr. Khalifa: Grew up. Because the king adopted him, the queen. Edip: (unintelligible)

19:39 Dr. Khalifa: And he sacrificed all this because of a Hebrew who was fighting with an Egyptian.

19:44 So, it's a very good point. So, this is preparation for his leadership.

19:49 When he goes back and tells him, you come with me, they follow him. He's a hero.

19:54 The making of a hero. Mã Shã Allãh.

19:57 [28:16] He said, "My Lord, I have wronged my soul. Please forgive me," and He forgave him. He is the Forgiver, Most Merciful.

20:05 So, this will fall under the law, the Quranic law, that you may dislike something when it is good for you.

20:10 Or you may like something which is bad for you.

20:13 So, the moral is, we must submit to God totally, completely. Whatever is happening, we have to accept it.

20:19 We have to know that it is for your own good.

20:22 If you're a believer, then whatever is happening is for your own good.

20:28 17.

21:21 He didn't know if his crime has been exposed or not.

21:25 [28:18] ... The one who sought his help the day before,...

21:27 is a troublemaker. And he asked him for help again.

21:30 [28:18] ... Moses said to him, "You are really a troublemaker."

21:34 Today, he was fighting again with an Egyptian.

21:38 And his name was Wakili.

21:39 Moses' Crime Exposed

21:44 A man: What? Dr. Khalifa: Number 19.

21:47 Dr. Khalifa: We know somebody called Wakili and he fights with anything that comes in his way. Yes.

21:53 God shows us examples of everything.

21:57 Moses' Crime Exposed

21:59 [28:19] Before he attempted to strike their common enemy, he said, "O Moses, do you want to kill me, like you killed the other man yesterday? Obviously, you wish to be a tyrant on earth; you do not wish to be righteous."

22:14 So, this tells us that now everybody knows that he killed an Egyptian.

22:20 [28:20] A man came running from the other side of the city, saying, "O Moses, the people are plotting to kill you. You better leave immediately. I am giving you good advice."

22:29 [28:21] He fled the city, afraid and watchful. He said, "My Lord, save me from the oppressive people."

22:35 Of course, we know the rest of this. This led to his marriage and his return to Egypt as a hero with God's message.

22:46 Alhamdu Lillah

22:49 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah. Go ahead.

22:50 Parivash: Did he kill him by accident or was he angry? Dr. Khalifa: It was an accident.

22:54 Dr. Khalifa: It was accident. Yes. Actually he didn't kill him, God killed him.

22:59 Everything was timed that way.

23:05 Dr. Khalifa: We know about Moses, he was hot-tempered and he was physically very strong.

23:13 A man: I think the whole thing was done keeping with God's plan. Dr. Khalifa: Exactly.

23:19 I mean, look here. This is a simple history, but there are so many lessons that we learn from it.

23:25 Because God's power is illustrated in every, every sentence.

23:32 Dr. Khalifa: Behrouz, you're here! You're home! Behrouz: Yes, sir. Yes. Alhamdu Lillah. Dr. Khalifa: Mã Shã Allãh.

24:25 Behrouz: And even Moses wanted to see God himself, I mean.

24:30 Dr. Khalifa: But you know, it happened because he was speaking with God.

24:33 Behrouz: Right.

24:34 Dr. Khalifa: And it's a natural curiosity in that situation. Because, suppose I'm speaking to you and you're invisible.

24:40 Dr. Khalifa: Then, I will want to see you. Behrouz: (unintelligible)

24:43 Dr. Khalifa: Yes, so, it was in the conversation.

24:47 But the children of Israel wanted to see God, but it was a totally different issue. It was out of defiance.

24:52 They said "We will not believe unless we see God physically", they said.

24:55 Dr. Khalifa: But the situation with Moses was different. He was...

24:57 Edip: He was challenging, Moses only...

25:00 Dr. Khalifa: Moses was in the conversation. He said "my Lord, let me see You."

25:06 When Moses came at our appointed time, and his Lord spoke with him, he said, "My Lord, let me look and see You." He said, "You cannot see Me. Look at that mountain; if it stays in its place, then you can see Me." Then, his Lord manifested Himself to the mountain, and this caused it to crumble. Moses fell unconscious. When he came to, he said, "Be You glorified. I repent to You, and I am the most convinced believer. (رَبِّ أَرِنِىٓ أَنظُرْ إِلَيْكَ) [7:143]

25:07 "My lord, let me look at You and see You."

25:11 Behrouz: It was not because of this kind of nation that they didn't believe.

25:17 Dr. Khalifa: Right. Behrouz: They wanted more miracles and more miracles. Dr. Khalifa: Right.

25:21 Dr. Khalifa: That was the ultimate defiance. That's what they did.

25:25 Edip: But Rashad, at that time, there were about 70 people around him who took them to...

25:31 Dr. Khalifa: No, no, no, no. That's different.

25:34 Dr. Khalifa: The 70 men went to apologize.

25:39 Dr. Khalifa: This was back in the camp.

25:41 They were all in Sinai and they thought they will not believe "unless we see God physically." So, they died.

25:46 Because God showed them a little bit.

25:50 And they died.

25:52 Then, God revived them.

25:55 One of the incidents in the Quran where God revived the dead.

25:58 But with Moses, this was done actually, it was computerized to teach us that this earth cannot stand the presence of God.

26:05 Because God wiped out the mountain.

26:09 Just to... It was a fact.

26:10 I mean, God manifested Himself to the mountain. And the mountain shattered.

26:15 And Moses fell unconscious. Then, when he came to, the first thing he said "Subhanak (سُبْحَـٰنَكَ)", Glory be to You.

27:40 [57:19] Those who believed in GOD and His messengers are the saints and martyrs. ...

27:45 And all of a sudden it fits to the new information that we got.

27:50 That the righteous go straight to Heaven. They do not die.

27:53 Remember the verse that says "do not say about the martyrs that they are dead."

28:00 So, martyrs are not only the people who die in battle, fighting.

28:05 People who die believing in God and His messengers are the saints and the martyrs.

28:11 [57:19] ... Reserved for them at their Lord are their rewards and their light. As for those who disbelieved and rejected our revelations, they have incurred Hell.

28:22 Preoccupation With This Life Condemned

1:08:20 It was about 900 years ago when a Jewish Rabbi discovered this number 19 in the intact remnants of the scriptures,

1:08:32 specifically in the Prayers that were given, came to them through Abraham, from the prophet Abraham,

1:08:38 just like our Namaz came through Abraham. What happened about 900 years ago was that the Jews in France added

1:08:46 a short statement to their Morning Prayer which was "blessed are those who follow the righteous path."

1:08:55 They just added this harmless, seemingly harmless statement.

1:09:00 Rabbi Judah the Pious, who was living at that time, just wrote a barrage of literature, eight huge volumes,

1:09:08 as to why this short statement would destroy what he called the divine rhythm,

1:09:19 or the key that causes contact between us and God.

1:09:22 And he showed that the number 19 is the basis of the scriptures, and the language that God

1:09:30 is speaking to us, that it is the key to the Word of God. And I have it reproduced here, in the appendix.

1:09:42 Actually, Rabbi Judah the Pious, I think some of you know this, is actually mentioned in the Quran, in Sura 46, verse 10.

1:20:44 It is not any human being with the shortcomings of human beings.

1:20:49 And in the book we have answers to these questions.

1:20:53 And we know that God is speaking to us. God is telling us. He created us and He's telling us where we came from.

1:20:58 He's telling us why we are here on this earth.

1:21:01 And He's telling us where we go from here.

1:21:03 And like the Quran says, it says "none can tell you this like the Expert",

1:21:11 one of the names of God, Khabir.

1:21:14 In Arabic If you call on them, they cannot hear you. Even if they hear you, they cannot respond to you. On the Day of Resurrection, they will disown you. None can inform you like the Most Cognizant. (وَلَا يُنَبِّئُكَ مِثْلُ خَبِيرٍۢ) [35:14] None can tell you these facts like the Expert.

1:21:19 And God is the Supreme Expert.

1:21:23 So now, I will try to share with you what God tells us about these questions.

1:21:29 Where did we come from?

1:21:36 Do you have some markers?

1:21:40 Oh yes, thank you.

1:22:01 Okay, why are we searching for these questions? "Where did we come from?"

1:22:06 It's, we learn from Quran that we are here. We have no recollection of our previous past.

1:22:14 But we were all in God's kingdom. You can think of us as angels. We used to be angels in God's kingdom.

1:22:20 So, if I draw a line representing all the creatures in God's kingdom billions of years ago,

1:22:27 and this includes you and me, billions of years ago, it is just very clear in the Quran that we existed in the past.

1:22:33 For example, in Sura 7, verse 143, God says "I gathered all of you, all the descendants of Adam, and I had you bear witness that I alone am your Lord." God tells us that.

1:22:44 But we don't have any recollection of this. We don't remember standing before God and saying "we bear witness You are our Lord."

1:22:52 So, the Quran teaches us we don't have any remembrance of that.

1:22:55 And this is one of the purposes of us being here, is to come into an existence where we do not remember the past and start, have a fresh start.

1:23:06 Then, we are given two messages, one message from God and one message from Satan.

1:23:12 And we're supposed to freely make a choice.

1:23:15 God gave us the freedom to choose. You can choose either one of them, either God's message or Satan's message.

1:23:23 As you know, I'm gonna interrupt to get to what God is telling us.

1:23:28 In the middle of the subject, in the middle of the subject, Adam and Eve were in Heaven, and God gave them a message.

1:23:35 This is because all of us, I'm sure, know this.

1:23:39 But God gave Adam and Eve a message. He said "you're in Paradise. You can enjoy anything you want, but not this tree."

1:23:44 "Don't come close to this tree."

1:23:46 That was God's message to Adam and Eve.

1:23:49 And they stayed in Heaven, God knows how long, maybe thousands, maybe millions of years.

1:23:54 So, but the point is, for as long as they respected God's commandment, God's law, they stayed there.

1:24:03 And then, most of you know, Satan went to them and said "eat from this tree."

1:24:10 Ok. So now, they have two messages.

1:24:14 Hi Rashi, how are you?

1:24:23 Adam and Eve were in Heaven, or in Paradise, or Heaven, the same thing.

1:24:28 And they had a message from God telling them "do not eat from this tree."

1:24:31 And they had a message from Satan saying "eat from this tree."

1:24:35 For as long as they obeyed, adhered by God's message, they stayed in Heaven.

1:24:39 Once they listened to Satan, they were kicked out of there.

1:24:43 And this is what brought us here.

1:24:45 I mean, as a second coming to this world, not the initial. This is not the original sin.

1:24:54 The eating from the tree is not the original sin as believed in the previous creatures.

1:24:59 So, this line is representing all of God's creatures, including you and me.

1:25:04 And these creatures of God had different responsibilities, different assignments of work.

1:25:11 And depending on their duties, they had different powers.

1:25:17 For example, if somebody assigns to you something to do in New York,

1:25:22 your company says "you must go to New York and do something and come back."

1:25:25 They'll give you a ticket to get on a plane, fly to New York, do the job and come back.

1:25:29 This is some power given to you.

1:25:32 So, God's creatures had different powers.

1:25:36 One of the most powerful creatures, not the most powerful creature, one of the powerful creatures,

1:25:41 now we got to know as Satan, his God-given powers went to his head.

1:25:47 He had an egotistic problem. He thought he can be a god besides God.

1:25:53 He thought he can run a dominion besides God.

1:25:56 And this immediately created various degrees of agreement or disagreement with Satan.

1:26:06 So, let's, just to put the matter in perspective, I'm going to put a representation of how many creatures agreed with Satan.

1:26:15 The vast majority of God's creatures did not agree with Satan, only a few. I'm gonna represent them by this red dot.

1:26:21 I hope you can see it right there.

1:26:23 So, the vast majority of creatures, they said "no way, Satan cannot be a god besides God. Only God can be a god."

1:26:34 I mean, this is from a practical point of view. There's simply more to God-hood than Satan thought.

1:26:39 And this is reflected in this world now, that Satan cannot run the world.

1:26:43 There are many starving children, many diseases, earthquakes, cancer.

1:26:49 All this is Satan's incompetence, reflects Satan's incompetence in this world.

1:26:54 These creatures that did not agree with Satan are the angels. They are now, the creatures became classified.

1:27:01 The creatures who upheld God's absolute authority were classified as angels.

1:27:07 The creatures that rebelled and agreed with Satan were classified as, and then further classified. Let's now classify them as rebels.

1:27:17 They did not believe in God's absolute authority.

1:27:19 Now, I'm going to take this little dot here.

1:27:22 By the way, this little dot represents something like a trillion creatures.

1:27:27 The number of God's angels is not known to anybody except God.

1:27:30 You see this in the Quran, Sura 74, verse 31.

1:27:34 Where God says "only God knows the number of His, the angels."

1:27:37 Even the angels don't know how many of them there are.

1:27:40 As you see, this red dot represents a trillion creatures.

1:27:45 And the blue line is much larger, so there's countless numbers of angels.

1:27:50 I'm going to extend this dot here into a long line.

1:27:56 We're still dealing with the question "where did we come from?"

1:28:00 This line represents about a trillion creatures.

1:28:05 They are the creatures that agreed with Satan.

1:28:08 And this includes you and me, in this line.

1:28:12 To different degrees.

1:28:15 Let's say here are the least agreeable with Satan and these are the most, the most agreeable with Satan.

1:28:21 God gave these creatures a second chance. First of all, the angels said "since these creatures here rebel, put them all in Hell."

1:28:27 "Throw them all in Hell. Banish them from Your kingdom."

1:28:31 And in Sura 2, verse 30, God says "no."

1:28:34 One of the names of God is the Most Merciful.

1:28:38 God wanted to give us another chance to reconsider our decision to side with Satan.

1:28:46 In Sura 2, verse 30, God says "I know what you do not know."

1:28:49 The angels said "throw them all in Hell."

1:28:51 And God said "I know what you do not know."

1:28:53 What did God know that the angels didn't know?

1:28:56 God knew that some of us, deep in our hearts, we really believed in God's absolute authority.

1:29:01 But for some reason, we were swept in the crowd and we agreed with Satan, to different degrees.

1:29:06 A man: (unintelligible) Dr. Khalifa: So,... pardon?

1:29:09 So, this line here, representing the rebels, God gave them a second chance.

1:29:15 He said "how would you like to reconsider your agreement with Satan?"

1:29:19 "I'm going to give you a chance to submit outright. Or, you can go through an experiment where we put Satan to the test."

1:29:27 And I use the example of, for example, Muhammad coming and saying "I can fly a plane." He's making a claim.
