0:29 Bism Allah Arrahman Arraheem, in the name of God, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

0:35 Islam actually began with the first man, the first human being, Adam. He was the

0:40 first messenger of God. He brought to his children, and grandchildren,

0:44 the message of worshiping God alone. And this is Islam, submitting to God,

0:51 worshiping God alone. A series of messengers after Adam

0:57 brought the same message, worship God alone. The first commandment in the Bible,

1:03 the message of Moses, the message of Jesus, the messages of all the prophets of

1:09 Israel, David, Solomon, and so on, is one and the same, the first commandment,

1:14 worship God with all your heart, all your body, and all your soul. Worship

1:19 God alone. The Quran states very clearly that the religion as far as God is

1:24 concerned is Islam. So, there is only one religion as far as God is concerned.

1:30 If you want to be more specific, the original prophet of Islam is Abraham

1:35 because he brought all the religious practices in Islam. And we see this

1:41 throughout the Quran. For example, in Sura 21, verse 73 tells us

1:50 that Abraham was the original source of... of course, God is the original source

1:56 of everything, but Abraham delivered to us the Salat prayer, the contact prayers, and the

2:02 Zakat charity. This is in Sura 21 verse 73. And we see this also with the

2:10 fasting, the Hajj pilgrimage. All the practices of Islam came to us through

2:15 the prophet Abraham. The prophet Muhammad contributed the message, the

2:21 scripture of Islam which is the Quran.

2:49 The prophet Muhammad contributed the message, the scripture of Islam, which is the

2:54 Quran. God revealed the Quran to us through the Prophet Muhammad. The Prophet

3:00 Muhammad was born in the year 570 AD. And when he was 40 years of age, he was

3:08 appointed God's final prophet. Prophet means he brought a new

3:16 scripture, the final edition of God's message to the world and that is the

3:21 Quran. The Quran was given to the prophet

3:26 Muhammad in one night, as we see in the Quran in many many verses, in Sura 17

3:32 verse 1, in Sura 44 verse 3, and in Sura 97.

3:41 The release of the Quran from Muhammad's soul to his mouth and his hand was done

3:49 over a period of 23 years from his age of 40 to the age of 63. He died

3:55 at the age of 63. So, over a period of 23 years, the Quran was being released

4:02 after being placed in Muhammad's heart on the night of power - in Arabic لَيْلَةِ ٱلْقَدْرِ

4:10 The purpose of releasing the Quran over

4:14 23-year period is to help the Prophet and the believers, at the time, to

4:21 memorize the Quran as it was being released. And this is stated in the Quran.

4:26 In the Quran it says (25:32) لِنُثَبِّتَ بِهِۦ فُؤَادَكَ to fix it in your memory.

4:32 So, the release was very slowly, very gradually, and it took 23 years.

4:58 God created the universe and created the human race and out of His mercy, He sent

5:04 messengers and books to tell us about Him. All these messengers and all the

5:10 books that God sent to us preach one and the same religion.

5:15 The first messenger was Adam himself, the father of all humanity. After him, came

5:21 messengers like Noah, Jesus, Moses, Muhammad. Muhammad was the last prophet bringing

5:27 the last scripture, the Quran. And in the Quran, we find everything we need,

5:33 all the duties, obligations, commandments, prohibitions in Islam. Quran is the

5:41 final scripture. It is the completion of the message. Because the previous

5:47 scriptures were suited for that stage of human development. The Quran came to

5:52 complete the picture and now we have the final, the complete religion, Islam.

5:59 The Quran is all you need. In fact, because God said that the Quran is complete,

6:05 perfect, and fully detailed, if you go to any other source, you will be disobeying

6:11 God and disobeying the messenger of God, Muhammad who brought this Quran out of

6:15 his mouth. God brought to us the Quran out of

6:18 Muhammad's mouth. And you will be disobeying God and disobeying Muhammad

6:23 if you follow any other sources besides the Quran. And specifically I mean sources

6:28 like Hadith, Sunnah, and all the other books and things that the traditions and

6:35 the customs invented. If you go to any source besides the Quran, you will be

6:40 disobeying God. Because clearly God says in Sura number 6, verse

6:46 114, for example, that the Quran is fully detailed. You don't need anything

6:51 else. God says in verse 19 of Sura number 6 that the Quran is what was given to

6:57 Muhammad to deliver to the world, and it is the only source for religious guidance

7:03 and religious education. The Quran tells us exactly what the

7:08 essentials of Islam are, and they are... Very quickly, I'm gonna go into details of

7:13 these later on. Number one: to believe in God alone. You do not have any other idols.

7:20 You are devoted to God alone, and this is represented by the SHAHADA, the first

7:26 so-called pillar of Islam. Let us go along with that idea. The first pillar

7:31 of Islam is the SHAHADA, and the SHAHADA is stated in the Quran in Sura number 3

7:37 verse 81.

7:41 Excuse me, it's verse 18. Sura 3, verse 18. It says شَهِدَ ٱللَّهُ means God bears

7:50 witness, أَنَّهُۥ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ that there is no god except He.

7:56 And also the angels and those who possess knowledge will make this SHAHADA,

8:01 which is "La Elaha Ella Allah" or "Ash-hadu Alla Elaha Ella Allah." This is the first

8:09 pillar in Islam. Sura number 3, verse number 18.

8:15 The SHAHADA, the first pillar of Islam is "La Elaha Ella Allah." If you want to make it

8:21 complete, then you say "Ash-hadu Alla Elaha Ella Allah." I bear witness that

8:27 there is no god except Allah, the one God. Now, don't add anything else.

8:33 Some people, who imitate old inventions and old traditions, will say

8:41 "Ash-hadu Alla Elaha Ella Allah" and then they make another SHAHADA that Muhammad is a messenger of

8:45 God. We know that Muhammad is a messenger of God, but if you inject this

8:50 in the SHAHADA, this ruins everything, because now you don't have God ALONE.

8:54 You put an idol, Muhammad, next to God. And this is, by the way, is a very strong

9:00 prohibition in the Quran that you put any other name besides the name of Allah,

9:05 the name of God. We find this in Sura number 39 verse 45.

9:12 You must say, you must devote yourself to God ALONE. You do not idolize

9:16 Muhammad and put him next to God. This will be going against God and against Muhammad.

9:22 So, the first pillar of Islam is SHAHADA "La Elaha Ella Allah."

9:57 So, the first pillar of Islam is SHAHADA "La Elaha Ella Allah." The second pillar is observing five

10:06 contact prayers every day. This is the food for your soul. This is a favor that God

10:13 is doing for you. You're not doing it for God. And the five contact prayers begin

10:20 before sunrise. You must get up before sunrise in order to feed your

10:25 soul, give you soul breakfast. Your body will be lazy and will not

10:30 want to get out of bed before sunrise. But for your sake, get out of bed before

10:37 sunrise and do the Morning contact prayer, whereby you contact your creator

10:42 and feed your soul. The second prayer... by the way, the details

10:49 of the prayers are given on another videotape that we call "Principles of

10:53 Muslim prayer." So, be sure you order that tape and see how the contact prayers are

10:59 performed, the correct way, not the traditional innovations that we see in

11:04 the Muslim world. The second prayer is the Noon prayer.

11:10 And it begins as soon as the sun declines from the highest spot in the sky. That is

11:16 the Noon prayer, consists of four units. The Morning prayer is two units. The

11:21 Noon contact prayer is four units. The Afternoon contact is done about three or

11:29 four hours after the noon prayer in the mid afternoon.

11:33 And the fourth contact prayer is the Sunset prayer or "Maghrib." And it is done

11:40 immediately after sunset. And the final contact prayer, the Night prayer, must be

11:46 done about two hours after sunset. So, these are the five contact prayers

11:53 and they represent the second pillar of Islam.

12:30 The third pillar of Islam is fasting, in Arabic, SIYAM.

12:37 God commands us to fast during one month of the year, and it is the ninth

12:45 month of the lunar calendar. Now, I'm smiling because there is a

12:52 tremendous test in this system, where the lunar year is shorter than the solar year,

12:59 and this makes the month of Ramadan move about 10 to 15 days every year.

13:05 So, it comes in the winter sometimes when the day is nice and short and fasting is

13:09 very easy, and moves to the summer where the days are very long, 16 hours or more

13:14 sometimes, and the day is hot and you can't eat or drink during this long

13:20 period. And a lot of people will drop out. They will... they will not fast even though

13:24 nobody dies by not eating or drinking for 24 hours. But some people

13:31 will drop out and you can see that the system is designed to show who will fast

13:37 and would obey God's commandment, no matter how long the day is.

13:42 This changing of the day from short and cold to long and hot days will show

13:49 us who are the dropouts, who will fast only if the day is short and nice and

13:54 cold. So, this is the second pillar of Islam, fasting during the month of

14:00 Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar.

14:27 As you see, the fasting of Ramadan is also designed to tame the wild horse,

14:35 your body. See, your body wants to eat and drink,

14:38 and you, the real person or the soul, dictates on the body saying "no, you're

14:44 not going to eat or drink until sunset." Because the fasting consists of not

14:49 eating or drinking or engaging in intercourse, sexual intercourse from dawn

14:56 to sunset. Dawn means about two hours before sunrise to sunset, no eating, no

15:03 drinking, no sex. And this is control of your wild horse.

15:10 You are taming the wild horse, your body. And you can see that God is training you,

15:18 is teaching you to be a person of a strong will,

15:23 and preparing you for the eternal life of the Hereafter, the real life.

15:29 Because in the real life that comes after this life, God wants the people who are strong,

15:36 who practice and exercise and know how to control themselves, I mean, their

15:43 their bodies. This also causes your soul to feed, grow and develop.

16:12 The fourth pillar of Islam is charity, in Arabic, ZAKAT. There is an obligatory

16:20 charity where you sit down and you calculate exactly what you possess, what

16:26 your possessions are, and you give away a portion,

16:29 a fixed portion of your net worth. You do this once a year.

16:34 You pick out a specific day in the year, the last day of Ramadan, the first day of Ramadan,

16:39 or the first day of January, one day, one fixed day in the year.

16:44 And you sit down on that day and you calculate how much you are worth.

16:48 This means you add up the market value of your house, your car, your clothes,

16:53 anything that you posses if you sell it all today. How much will it be worth?

16:58 The fair market value, not the new... the price of the new thing, no, the present

17:05 market value of everything you posses. And then you give away 2.5% of that.

17:10 See? It's a small percentage. And you do it once a year.

17:13 And it goes to specific people.

17:16 The Quran lists them in this priority: first your parents.

17:22 If your parents are rich... and these are the recipients of your

17:27 charity. If your parents are rich, the second in the list are you relatives.

17:34 You give this 2.5%, you give it to your relatives. If they're all rich,

17:39 then you find some orphans, people who do not have support, parental support, a father

17:46 support or something. And you give this charity to them.

17:51 After the orphans, you give to the alien, somebody who's traveling and is

17:58 stranded and doesn't have the money or the bus fare to go to his home town,

18:03 you help that person. So, the order in the Quran is: the parents, the relatives,

18:07 the orphans, the traveling alien, the poor the beggars and so on. So, there is a

18:13 specific order for giving these charities. However, there is also

18:18 a general charity called "Sadaqa" and this is an on-the-spot charity. You're

18:25 walking in the street and you see a poor person and you want to help, then you

18:29 help that person and this is called "Sadaqa" or charity. You're supposed to be

18:33 charitable the whole year, all the time. You must be charitable. But the ZAKAT

18:38 is the obligatory charity where you give it to someone you personally know.

18:44 You personally know that this fellow is poor and needs help and you give your 2.5%

18:53 to these people that you personally know. You cannot consider

18:56 the taxes, for example, as ZAKAT charity, because you don't know where the taxes

19:02 will go. They can go to fix the street or something, or to the army or something.

19:06 But the idea behind ZAKAT is that you give it to the people that you

19:11 personally know are in need. And the Quran, as I said, lists the parents first,

19:18 the relatives, your own - you start with your own people then you go to

19:23 other strangers in that order.

20:00 The fifth pillar of Islam is Hajj pilgrimage to the Holy Land in Mecca.

20:08 And this is only, of course, for the people who can afford it. When you can

20:13 afford it, you go to Mecca and you observe Hajj, and this is commemoration of

20:19 the prophet Abraham, not the man Abraham but his

20:27 exemplary submission to God. He thought... he saw a dream one time and he thought

20:34 that God was commanding him to sacrifice his only son, Ismail.

20:38 And he proceeded to carry out this command even though God did not order

20:43 him to do it. He just thought in a dream that God was ordering him to do it. But he was

20:49 willing to sacrifice his own son in submission to God, and of course, God

20:53 intervened to save Ismail and Abraham from this tragedy. And God

21:01 substituted a sheep to be sacrificed instead of Ismail. And this is what you

21:07 do when you go to Hajj. So, and Hajj consists of arriving in Mecca dressed

21:12 only in untailored clothes, just a sheet or something.

21:17 and seamless shoes or sandals, seamless

21:23 clothes and seamless sandal. The women dress in a regular dress that is

21:28 simple. So, you cannot tell the rich from the poor.

21:56 To observe Hajj, you go to

21:58 Mecca dressed in seamless clothes and seamless sandals. This is for the men.

22:04 The women dress modestly in regular modest dress, all white dress, for

22:12 example, so you cannot tell the rich from the poor. You get to Mecca and you go

22:18 around the Ka‘bah in Mecca seven times. Then, you go between Safa and Marwah, the

22:23 knolls of Safa and Marwah seven times. Then, you go to 'Arafat, Mount 'Arafat and you

22:29 stand there the whole day, which is the 10th day of the twelfth, the last month in

22:35 the Islamic calendar. The tenth day of the Hijr. You spend that whole day on

22:40 Mount 'Arafat commemorating God, worshiping and praying. And then, you go to

22:46 Mina, it's a little town near Mecca. You go to Mina for two or three days.

22:52 Then, you go back to the Ka‘bah, go around it seven times, which is called the farewell

22:57 circumambulation around the Ka‘bah, and this is it. Now, my advice to you is

23:03 never to go to Medina because people go to Medina and they ruin their Hajj. They

23:08 go to the Prophet Muhammad's tomb, mausoleum, and they idolize the

23:12 prophet and this ruins everything, ruins the whole religion not just Hajj. So, Hajj

23:17 must be done only in Mecca where you go around the Ka‘bah seven times, between

23:22 Safa and Marwah seven times, you go to 'Arafat for one day and to Mina for two or

23:26 three days, and this is it. These are specific steps that are mentioned in the

23:30 Quran. And by the way, all these duties in Islam came to us

23:36 through the prophet Abraham. If you look at Sura 22, the last verse, number 78,

23:42 you will see that Abraham is the source, is the father of Islam and the father of

23:46 Muslims. And if you look at Sura number 16 verse 123, you see that the prophet

23:54 Muhammad followed the religion of Abraham. Islam is the religion of

23:58 Abraham. He's the founder of Islam. And all the duties of Islam came from

24:03 IBRAHIM, not the prophet Muhammad. Muhammad brought the Quran. God brought the

24:09 Quran through Muhammad. So, this is why some people become confused when you

24:15 tell them that God says that the Quran is complete, perfect and fully detailed.

24:21 Because some of the old traditionalists will say "ok, where is the number of Raka's

24:26 for the Noon prayer in the Quran?" See, they forget that the contact prayers, the

24:32 fasting of Ramadan, the ZAKAT charity, and the Hajj pilgrimage, all these duties

24:37 came to us from Abraham, and the Quran says so. If you look at Sura 21

24:42 verse 73, it tells you that Abraham started the Salat and the Zakat. And in

24:48 Sura 22 entitled Hajj, you see that Abraham is the source of Hajj and so on.

24:55 The Quran says clearly that all duties and obligations came to us through the

25:01 prophet Abraham, and tells us in Sura 22 verse 78 that this is the religion

25:07 of Abraham. The prophet Muhammad simply contributed the Quran. And the Quran

25:13 is God's words that came through Muhammad. So, watch for this point and don't let anyone

25:22 trick you into thinking that the Quran is not complete. The most important

25:26 principle in Islam is God ALONE. You must be devoted to God alone. You do

25:33 not idolize the prophet Muhammad like the Christians did with the prophet

25:36 Jesus. You devote yourself completely to God alone, and you follow the word of God

25:41 alone, the Quran alone, no other sources. If you do,

25:47 you'll nullify all your work, as we see in Sura 39 where God says if you fall

25:51 in idol worship, all your works are nullified. You may do the Salat, the Zakat,

25:56 the charity, the Hajj, the fasting and all this and it will be all in vain unless

26:02 you are devoted to God alone. And you will declare your SHAHADA

26:07 "Ash-hadu Alla Elaha Ella Allah." This is it. So, these are the basic essentials of Islam.

26:43 The prohibitions are also important. There are four meats that you

26:49 cannot eat, for example. And these are number one, animals that die of

26:54 themselves without human interference. Number two, pork, the meat of pigs. Number

27:01 three, running blood, running blood that you can put in a glass and cook or drink.

27:07 Number four, animals dedicated to other than God that are specifically dedicated

27:13 to Muhammad or Jesus or Ali or somebody. These are forbidden. So, if you go to the market,

27:19 you go to Safeway Market, for example, and you look at the meat, if you want to know

27:24 if it is HALAL, permitted or HARAM, prohibited, you ask yourself these four

27:28 questions. Is this meat pork? The answer is "no", then did these animals

27:35 die of themselves without human interference? The answer is "no." Is this

27:39 running blood? The answer is "no." Was this meat dedicated to Jesus or to anyone else or

27:44 Saint Francis? The answer is "no." Therefore, this meat is HALAL. It's ok. You can eat

27:49 it. If you make it HARAM, if you prohibit it, then you are following some

27:53 other religion. You're not a Muslim when you do that. So, it is very important

27:58 to follow specifically what the Quran prohibits. If you prohibit anything else...

28:04 some people go to funny lengths like prohibiting soaps and brushes and shoes

28:08 and things like that, and of course, this is a religion that is not Islam, has

28:13 nothing to do with Islam.

28:47 Also prohibited are all intoxicants: alcohol, marijuana, anything that will affect your

28:56 mind. All intoxicants, anything that affects your capacity to think and to

29:02 have a healthy brain. So, all intoxicating drugs, weeds and alcohol, all these are

29:11 prohibited. Also, gambling is prohibited. Don't play the lottery. Believe me, it

29:16 will cost you more than... even if you win the jackpot, you will end up a loser.

29:21 Believe me for this is God is in control and He prohibited gambling, games of

29:27 chance of any kind.

29:31 Of course, the major prohibitions are listed in the Quran: adultery is

29:35 prohibited, murder, stealing, cheating, lying. God wants you to be a perfect

29:40 person, a nice person. Even breaking the promise is prohibited. You must be a

29:46 person of your word. You must be a man of your word, or a woman of your word. When

29:50 you say something, you do it and people must know you as such. This is what a

29:55 Muslim is all about.

30:40 Now, some people are fascinated by Hajj pilgrimage and they

30:44 just want to do it right away. You know, they're fascinated by the exotic country,

30:48 you know, Saudi Arabia and the trip and all that. But my advice to you is to

30:52 perfect your religion first. Believe me, it is not a very pleasant trip. There's a

30:58 million and a half or two million people making pilgrimage and it is a, an

31:03 exacting trial instead of enjoyment. You're not going as a tourist. It is a difficult

31:09 process and some people may become disillusioned when they go too

31:13 early, before the faith is strong enough. So, be sure you perfect your religion

31:18 first and then make the Hajj pilgrimage.

32:01 Another thing to guard against with regard to Hajj is that some people go and

32:06 do the Hajj pilgrimage like I said before their faith is strong enough

32:10 and they come back puffed up and thinking "you know, I'm perfect now. You know, I'm

32:15 cool, and nobody is like me. I did Hajj, you know." And it goes to their head.

32:21 And it brings the reverse result. They become worse Muslims than

32:26 better Muslims. So, you want to go and do Hajj pilgrimage after you perfect your

32:32 religion and this must make you humble, more humble.

32:36 And I remember the proverb that says "don't be humble, you're not that great."

33:11 Observing the Hajj pilgrimage is very easy. All you do is get ready financially

33:18 and with your vacations and everything, and then you travel to Saudi Arabia, Jedda.

33:23 As soon as you land there, they will assign a guide called "Mutawwif" to

33:29 you and the Mutawwif and his assistants will tell you exactly what to

33:34 do. But the main thing is that you memorize the statement "Labbayka Allāhumma Labbyak"

33:42 means "my Lord, I respond to Your call", "Labbayka Lā Shareeka Laka Labbayk"

33:49 "I respond to you. There is no partner with You."

33:53 And the whole statement will be taught to you by the Mutawwif.

34:01 The main statement that you need to know throughout Hajj goes like this

34:07 "Labbayka Allāhumma Labbyak" which means "my Lord, I respond to Your call."

34:13 "Labbayka Lā Shareeka Laka Labbayk", "I respond to You. You have no partner. There is no partner with You, I respond to Your call."

34:23 And this is what it looks like. Here's the first word "Labbayka"

34:28 which means "I respond to You. I respond to Your call." "Labbayka."

34:34 "Allāhumma" which means "my God or our God", "Allāhumma."

34:41 Labbayka Allāhumma Labbayk.

34:46 "Labbayka", "I respond to Your call."

34:50 "Lā" means no. "Shareeka" means partner or idol. "Lā Shareeka Laka", with You "Labbayk",

35:01 "I respond to a call."

35:04 Labbayka Allāhumma Labbyak Labbayka Lā Shareeka Laka Labbayk.

35:13 This is all you need. And you utter this statement. You

35:18 memorize it, and utter it all the time during Hajj, throughout Hajj, any time

35:23 you change direction, you climb a hill, down a hill, you meet friends, you say that.

35:27 Labbayka Allāhumma Labbyak Labbayka Lā Shareeka Laka Labbayk.

35:32 The details of the Hajj will be given to you by the guide that will be assigned to

35:37 you as soon as you arrive in Saudi Arabia.

37:39 Number 9, they do their Zakat obligatory charity wrong.

37:44 According to their laws now, they give the charity 2.5% of your

37:52 savings, above $50 that are one year old, once a year. This is the law of charity over there

38:01 which means the poor will die of starvation by the time you do that.

38:04 Now, if you look in the Quran, in Sura 6, we learn that charity must

38:09 go out whenever you receive money. Any money that enters your pocket and is yours,

38:14 the net, you take

38:19 2.5% - out of every $100 that's $2.5,

38:24 you give them away to your relatives, not to anybody else. This is the Zakat, the

38:29 obligatory charity. If you wanna build a school or a

38:33 mosque or a hospital, that is general charity. That's something else.

38:39 But 2.5% of your net income must go to the poor immediately

38:44 which means a continuous flow of money from people to the relatives, their

38:47 parents and their cousins and their sisters and brothers and so on. That's the correct way

38:53 of doing Zakat. And the Quran gives the zakat so

38:58 much importance, God says "My mercy encompasses all things, but I will

39:02 designate it for those who give the Zakat."

39:07 So, this shows... in other words, if you don't give the Zakat, you're out of

39:12 God's mercy.

39:15 It is very important and they don't do it.

39:32 Alhamdu Lillah, Wa Ash-hadu Alla Elaha Ella Allah, Wahdahu La Shareeka Lah.

39:42 We praise God and we bear witness that there is no god except the one God.

39:50 I want to go to... before I go another subject... Like I said, I'm just chatting with you. I'm not

39:57 supposed to be giving this Khutba.

40:01 I want to emphasize the Dawn prayer.

40:05 The Dawn prayer, you have no idea how important the Dawn prayer is. It dawned on

40:10 me, no pun intended. It just came out.

40:17 I was reading the Quran the other day and it dawned on me that God used the word

40:22 the Dawn prayer.

40:25 And when we were growing up, they taught us to do the morning prayer.

40:31 And I noticed that even until now, I say "I intend to do the morning prayer",

40:37 "Salat Al-Subh" in Arabic. That is wrong. If you miss, if the Sun rises before you

40:44 do the morning prayer, you've missed the Dawn prayer. Because the Quran calls it the Dawn prayer

40:51 which means it must be done at dawn. And ironically, this morning, there's a

40:58 commercial now you can hear it. If you listen to the radio, you're gonna hear this

41:01 commercial about a truck driver who... listen carefully Iman... a truck driver

41:07 who is complaining. It's an Anacin commercial. And

41:13 complaining that he's driving long distances, and he becomes stiff after a long distance. So, again

41:20 the commercial is saying "don't stay in the same position for a long time. Get out and

41:24 stretch in order to evade arthritis." And God is

41:31 telling us to do the Dawn prayer for our benefit.

41:35 Because if you want your mental health, before your physical health, you have to

41:42 get up at dawn and stretch and lubricate your joints at any cost.

41:48 And then we have this problem in Canada when I was visiting ten days ago,

41:52 and people were saying how the alarm... they just shut the alarm off and go back to sleep, and

41:57 I told them "get the biggest and most obnoxious alarm and put it

42:01 far away from you at the other end of the room, because this is what you

42:06 need to do at the beginning." At the beginning, it is difficult to do the

42:11 Dawn prayer which is an indication to you that your soul is too weak and is

42:18 unable to control your body. This is a thermometer for you.

42:25 Because as you do the Dawn prayer as required by God, your soul will grow

42:31 and your body will become obedient to you.

42:36 And then, it will become easier and easier and then you'll enjoy it actually getting

42:42 up for the Dawn prayer. But it is for your physical benefit and for your mental

42:46 benefit. Do the Dawn prayer. Also, if you're here in Masjid Tucson, you're a very special person.

42:55 I assure you, you have no idea how special you are and you must - you know the

43:00 slightest - you must be perfect. You have to do the

43:06 five prayers. You have to do the Dawn prayer. Because your responsibility is also

43:11 great. God has given you a great opportunity.

43:17 And a great responsibility comes with the deal.

43:23 So, you have to do the Dawn prayer, please, the five prayers. But I'm emphasizing

43:30 right now the Dawn prayer because this is how it is mentioned,

43:34 for your physical health and your mental health.

44:18 Ladies and gentlemen, we are recording this program in August of 1987 because

44:25 something very important has happened. In fact, you will agree with me that what I'm

44:31 reporting to you today is the most significant, easily, the most significant

44:36 event in history. As you know, this world is plagued with

44:42 many problems: wars, famine, cancer, AIDS, and so on. Because

44:50 of my association as a scientist with the United Nations, I had the opportunity

44:55 to use computers to decode a message from outer space that brings the final

45:04 solutions to all our problems. I know this sounds unbelievable but once

45:09 you examine the evidence, you will agree with me.

45:14 Before I get to the exciting details, let me share with you a few facts. One of the

45:20 biggest problems in the world today is war. There is a war going on right now

45:25 between Iraq and Iran. The Shia Muslims are fighting the Sunni Muslims. The

45:31 Protestants and the Catholics are fighting in Ireland. The Hindus and the

45:37 Sikhs are fighting in India. The Jews and the Muslims, the Arabs are fighting in

45:43 the Middle East. And we all know the mess that is

45:47 happening right now in Lebanon. All these people, ironically, the Muslims,

45:54 the Jews, the Christians, the Hindus, the Sikhs, all of them have one thing in

45:59 common. They all believe in God.

46:35 The Christians believe in God. The Buddhists believe in God.

46:40 The Muslims believe in God. The Hindus, the Mormons, Jehovah witnesses,

46:45 they all believe in God. The one thing that divides them and causes them to

46:50 fight with each other is the human factors, human factors such as Jesus,

46:57 Muhammad, Buddha, Mary, and Joseph Smith, and so on. It is these human factors that

47:04 cause division among these people. And as intelligent and highly educated

47:10 generations of human beings, we can see that if we rise above these human

47:17 factors and unite on the basis of the one common denominator, the one

47:23 common link, namely belief in God, there will be no divisions.

48:41 The mathematically coded message from outer space comes, as you will agree

48:47 after examining the physical evidence, comes from the Super Intelligent Creator.

48:52 And one of the first thing that it proposes to us in order to solve our

48:57 problems is to rise above the human factors that divide these people. With

49:04 all due respect to Jesus, Muhammad, Mary, Joseph Smith, and so on, we must

49:11 concentrate on the one common link. It is allegiance to these people that divides

49:20 us and causes the differences and wars. If we succeed in carrying out the first

49:26 proposal of this mathematically coded message, we will not fight each other

49:31 and we will be united and civilized.

49:53 The supernatural mathematically coded message emphasizes that God is the One

49:58 who created you, that God is the One who provides for you, that God is the One who

50:04 terminates your life, God is the One who will resurrect you, and that we shall

50:09 focus on the one common link that binds all of us and not on helpless and

50:16 powerless people like Muhammad, Buddha, Jesus, and Mary, and so on.

50:22 In response to this first suggestion of the super natural message, I am urging

50:29 you to join me in forming Universal unity through devotion to God

50:37 alone. This way people will be united. They will not be fanatically biased to

50:44 human beings, and they will not fight with each other. They will join in the

50:48 one common factor that they all believe in: God.

51:08 So, please call me right now and I will discuss the details with you. The number,

51:14 it's a free toll number, 1 800 992 5524.
