0:00 A woman: It doesn't quite fit. (unintelligible) Dr. Khalifa: Oh, OK.

0:02 Dr. Khalifa: I was gonna say, you don't remove anything and you just stick the end.

0:08 Dr. Khalifa: (unintelligible) on top of (unintelligible) A woman: (unintelligible)

0:11 A woman (Speaking in Farsi): Nosrat, IN SHAA ALLAH, who will speak? A woman: Yeah, and that doesn't quite work because

0:13 A woman (Speaking in Farsi): I pushed the button. A woman: there's a little tiny, tiny hole right here. Dr. Khalifa: Yes.

0:15 A woman (Speaking in Farsi): Are you serious you're broadcasting? Are you broadcasting?! A woman (Speaking in Farsi): Yes, we're broadcasting everything. Dr. Khalifa: I have one. If I would use it. (unintelligible)

0:20 A woman (Speaking in Farsi): Don't do that. Don't broadcast it. A woman (Speaking in Farsi): I broadcasted it. Dr. Khalifa: (unintelligible)

0:23 Dr. Khalifa: I will take the size that fits and stick the top of it. I can do it.

0:27 A woman: Watch this. Watch this. I have a better idea.

0:29 Dr. Khalifa: Yes. A woman: A nicer, even an amazing one (unintelligible).

0:32 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah.

0:34 A woman: Ready for what it is?

0:36 A woman: Here, watch this.

0:37 Dr. Khalifa: I mean, this is difficult, then.

0:38 A woman: It's not as difficult. It's...

0:41 A woman (Speaking in Farsi): Anyone who asked me "how was it?"

0:44 A woman (Speaking in Farsi): Anyone who asked me "how was it?" I said "(Unintelligible)"

0:48 A woman (Speaking in Farsi): Maybe they don't know English.

0:50 A woman (Speaking in Farsi): They know.

0:51 A woman (Speaking in Farsi): No, It's possible that they don't know.

0:52 A woman: Then, you take your tape.

0:55 A woman: This is great.

0:56 A woman: See, it creates a very sharp border, a very...

0:59 A woman: Exactly, it's the same border. Dr. Khalifa: Yeah, alright.

1:01 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah. That's good. A woman: Yeah.

1:03 A woman: Go ahead, please.

1:04 Dr. Khalifa: I try to. (unintelligible) A woman: You shouldn't, but...

1:08 Dr. Khalifa: OK, shall we go again?

1:09 A woman: Please.

1:10 Dr. Khalifa: Oh, it's working.

1:11 A woman: Yes.

1:13 Dr. Khalifa: So after this, the verse that comes after says, "Now... ." It says "Now, you cannot claim on the Day of Judgement,

1:21 you cannot say "oh, I didn't hear about this."

1:23 A lot of people will ask you, they say "what about a person who is living in Central Africa

1:27 Dr. Khalifa: "in the jungle and never heard of Muhammad or Jesus or anybody?" A woman: I know. They always say that.

1:31 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah. This is a favorite question of some people. A woman: That's right.

1:33 Dr. Khalifa: They say "this person must go to Heaven", you know.

1:37 Dr. Khalifa: And you say "No."

1:38 He has no excuse because he already witnessed God.

1:43 And Ibrahim is a good example. You know, Ibrahim was just a child.

1:46 He went out and looked at the stars and said "this is my God."

1:50 And then, he reached God because we have the instinct.

1:53 It was like being in the middle of the jungle.

1:56 Dr. Khalifa: So, every human being has that Fitrat. Exactly. A woman: Fitrat

2:02 A woman: The heritage.

2:05 Dr. Khalifa: Oh, and then the next verse says,

2:06 Nor can you say, "It was our parents who practiced idolatry, and we simply followed in their footsteps. Will You punish us because of what others have innovated? (أَوْ تَقُولُوٓا۟ إِنَّمَآ أَشْرَكَ ءَابَآؤُنَا مِن قَبْلُ وَكُنَّا ذُرِّيَّةًۭ مِّنۢ بَعْدِهِمْ) [7:173]

2:13 Also, you cannot use an excuse, say "oh, it's my father and my mother taught me that Muhammad or Jesus or Ali or Mary are very important."

2:22 "And I followed them, I believed them."

2:24 You cannot say that because you're an individual, you're an independent person.

2:28 So, that is not an acceptable excuse.

2:30 You cannot blame it on your parents.

2:31 I cannot blame it on my parents.

2:34 And I cannot, I cannot plead ignorance and I cannot blame it on my parents.

2:39 Because my parents taught me that Sayyid (Ahmad) al-Badawi will help you succeed in your examinations.

2:44 You know, "Go pray."

2:46 Not my mother.

2:47 My father did.

2:48 A woman: Why do they then say, if you do something good,

2:51 A woman (Speaking in Farsi): "May God forgive your father."

2:54 A woman: Huh? The...

2:55 Parivash: Tradition.

2:56 A woman: Huh? Parivash: Tradition. A woman: No, no. The

2:59 Parivash: The word

3:00 Dr. Khalifa: Translate.

3:02 Parivash: It's like when you are a good person, they say "God bless your father."

3:06 A woman: "God bless your father." Dr. Khalifa: Yeah.

3:08 A woman: And if you are a bad person, well, they say,

3:10 A woman (Speaking in Farsi): "Damn on your father."

3:13 A woman: But why?

3:14 Dr. Khalifa: I hear you say "you, son of a bitch." Excuse me.

3:18 Dr. Khalifa: But I mean, what is the mother's fault?

3:20 Dr. Khalifa: This is just a tradition. It's like she said. A woman: Yeah, really (unintelligible)

3:24 Dr. Khalifa: Tradition.

3:25 A woman: The nicest thing, the nicest thing they say is this. A woman (Speaking in Farsi): No, no, no.

3:27 A woman: When you do something bad, they say, "LA'NAT (damn) on your father." Dr. Khalifa: Yeah.

3:34 A woman: And when you do something good, they say,

3:36 A woman (Speaking in Farsi): "God bless your father."

3:38 A woman: "God bless your father."

3:39 Dr. Khalifa: You know, This is just a tradition. Just tradition.

3:42 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah.

3:42 A woman: Yeah.

3:43 A woman: Ok.

3:44 Dr. Khalifa: So, now, when Sheytan had this idea in his head that he can rule part of God's universe by himself,

3:54 the angels didn't know what was in Sheytan's head.

3:57 Only God knew.

4:01 Now, God had two choices. He can take shaytan and wipe him out.

4:05 But in that case, the angels would say "Yeah, why did God do this? Our friend Iblis didn't do anything."

4:13 A woman: Yeah.

4:14 Dr. Khalifa: So, as a mercy for the angels, God decided to expose Sheytan first, Sheytan.

4:21 Expose and show his real rebellion first.

4:25 So, how will God do this?

4:28 He created Adam, the human being, from clay, this lowly material.

4:35 From mud.

4:36 And then, He told all the angels to fall prostrate before this creature.

4:43 So, they all did, except Sheytan.

4:47 He refused.

4:49 And this is why I was rather sensitive to the story that ends up giving us the impression

4:54 that he wanted to make Sujud, but he couldn't.

4:57 He didn't want to make Sujud.

4:59 The Quran says "he refused."

5:01 So, these stories are very dangerous.

5:03 This is why I just, I'm completely averse to them.

5:07 So, Sheytan refused, and the angels...

5:09 Now in the movie that I wrote, the script, all the angels are falling prostrate before Adam,

5:15 and then except Sheytan.

5:18 So, they look and they...

5:20 You know, "Sheytan is still standing up."

5:22 You know, so, they all see he's exposed now.

5:27 Dr. Khalifa: Someday. We have it ready. A woman: Someday IN SHAA ALLAH. Someday IN SHAA ALLAH. Someday IN SHAA ALLAH.

5:31 Dr. Khalifa: The title is "King of Chaos."

5:34 A woman: "King of Chaos."

5:35 A woman: Isn't that a great title? A woman: Yes, it is. A woman: Isn't that a great name of a movie or what? I love that. Dr. Khalifa: Yes. It's true.

5:39 Dr.Khalifa: This is chaos on this earth.

5:41 A woman: But that's a great title, you have to admit. "Holy Quran"

5:44 Dr. Khalifa: So now, Sheytan is exposed.

5:47 The angels know what he is.

5:49 Now, Sheytan is eloquent.

5:53 You know when Adam and...

5:55 Do you call her "Hawa" (Eve)?

5:57 A woman: Hawa (حوا) (Eve).

5:58 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah.

5:58 When Adam and Hawa (Eve) made a mistake in Heaven, they repented.

6:04 They asked God forgiveness and they made Tawbah.

6:08 Dr. Khalifa: And God accepted their repentance. Parivash: Alhamdu Lillah.

6:10 Dr. Khalifa: And said "okay, we'll send you to the planet earth and test you. You and your descendants.

6:16 "And if you make it, you come back here."

6:19 "Those who don't make it will go with Sheytan."

6:24 But how come Sheytan could not, was not pardoned?

6:30 Why Adam and Eve were pardoned but not, Sheytan was not pardoned?

6:34 Because he continued to think and he still thinks that he can rule part of this universe with God.

6:41 So, he spoke to the angels.

6:43 A woman: He still thinks...?

6:44 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah.

6:45 A woman: He spoke to the angels!? Dr. Khalifa: He's still trying. Parivash: He's stupid.

6:47 Parivash: He's stupid. Dr. Khalifa: And of course, he's stupid. From the beginning he was stupid.

6:51 Dr. Khalifa: And God exaggerated his stupidity by giving him this tiny speck of land.

6:56 And God took care of even the provisions of the people and everything.

7:00 And He told them "just take care of them." You know.

7:02 Dr. Khalifa: Anyway.

7:03 A woman: Maybe, it meant that Sheytan...

7:06 Dr. Khalifa: No, but he refused to make Istighfar.

7:09 He refused to repent.

7:11 He said "no, I can do it."

7:12 He said "okay, make me a god and I'll do a good job." Sheytan said.

7:16 "I will prove to You", he says to God, "I will prove to You that Your creatures will not worship You alone."

7:24 Parivash: Unappreciative

7:26 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah. "Will not appreciate Your power."

7:28 Dr. Khalifa: "They will always... A woman: But... Dr. Khalifa: Wait.

7:30 Dr. Khalifa: "They will always put someone with You. They will not say "God alone.""

7:36 And this is why he's proud of all the human beings who say Jesus with God.

7:42 A woman: Muslims...

7:43 Dr. Khalifa: This is why we have this criterion in the Quran.

7:46 Allahu Wahdahu.

7:48 And then the next Sura you remember says, idha du'a allahu wahdahu kafartum wa in yusrak

7:50 This is because when GOD ALONE was advocated, you disbelieved, but when others were mentioned beside Him, you believed. Therefore, GOD's judgment has been issued; He is the Most High, the Great. (إِذَا دُعِىَ ٱللَّهُ وَحْدَهُۥ كَفَرْتُمْ ۖ وَإِن يُشْرَكْ بِهِۦ تُؤْمِنُوا۟) [40:12]

7:53 When God alone is called upon, you refuse.

7:57 But when God and somebody else, anybody else, then you're happy.

8:02 You know, different people.

8:04 You know, with the Jews, it's different. The Christians are different. With the Sunnis, it's different. With the Shias, it's different.

8:08 Every group of them, they want some name besides God, they are happy.

8:12 You say "La Elaha Ella Allah."

8:14 They say "Muhammadun rasulullah."

8:17 Dr. Khalifa: You say "I don't wanna..."

8:18 A woman: "I can't say anything else."

8:19 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah, I say "I don't wanna say. I wanna say La Elaha Ella Allah."

8:22 "What is wrong with you? I want to say La Elaha Ella Allah."

8:24 They say "no, Say Muhammadun rasulullah."

8:26 I mean, "You're gonna tell me what to say?"

8:30 So, it's just some other name with Him.

8:32 Yeah.

8:33 A woman: It just came to my mind, I don't wanna forget it, about my children.

8:37 A woman: They are really lucky, right? Dr. Khalifa: That's right.

8:39 A woman: Because they start with worshiping Allah. Dr. Khalifa: But you are luckier.

8:43 Dr. Khalifa: Yes, you get more credit than they. A woman: I was

8:45 Dr. Khalifa: They are lucky. A woman: an idol worshiper before though.

8:47 Dr. Khalifa: You A woman: I was scared.

8:48 Dr. Khalifa: Right.

8:49 This is why you get double the reward, you see.

8:52 A woman: Look at me. Dr. Khalifa: For them,

8:54 Dr. Khalifa: you already brought them up saying "God alone." So,

8:58 Dr. Khalifa: They are very lucky. A woman: You know, Mana

9:00 A woman: Mana in the Quran session we had in Masjid, she was so mad at Azar.

9:07 A woman: Because Azar was talking about the clean, and she knows very good now because she, she...

9:16 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah. your children are very lucky, but you are even luckier.

9:19 A woman: Alhamdu Lillah.

9:20 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah. You see, it takes a lot more credit when you grow under

9:24 the influence of putting idols with God, putting names with God.

9:29 And then you break away from this.

9:30 You get more credit.

9:31 The Quran says that.

9:32 It says "I'll double... I will double the reward for you."

9:36 "And I will substitute all the sins of the past into credits."

9:40 So every time, yes, we all do.

9:43 So every time, every time you called on Hussein or something, that will be changed into credit

9:50 because of your repentance.

9:51 A woman: IN SHAA ALLAH.

9:52 Dr. Khalifa: So, Sheytan did not repent.

9:55 And he continued to think that he can rule part of God's kingdom by himself.

10:01 And this is why he was not pardoned.

10:04 So, even worse than that, he stood up and spoke to the angels,

10:09 and told them "God created me, and He gave me all these powers."

10:16 "And I believe that I can help God, and be His assistant, and rule part of the universe by myself."

10:22 This is what he said. "What is wrong with that? How can I fall prostrate to this tiny creature made of mud?"

10:29 Dr. Khalifa: And some angels agreed with him.

10:32 A woman: And Some angels did? Dr. Khalifa: Yes.

10:34 Dr. Khalifa: So, we had a division.

10:37 Dr. Khalifa: So, the Sheytan and his assistants, they became jinns, yes.

10:42 Dr. Khalifa: And this is in Sura 38.

10:44 A woman: Sura 38.

10:45 Dr. Khalifa: Sura 38 says,

10:47 I had no knowledge previously, about the feud in the High Society.* (مَا كَانَ لِىَ مِنْ عِلْمٍۭ بِٱلْمَلَإِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰٓ إِذْ يَخْتَصِمُونَ) [38:69]

10:50 A woman: Oh, my God.

10:51 Dr. Khalifa: ٱلْمَلَإِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰٓ is what?

10:55 Dr. Khalifa: The Highest Society, God and the angels.

10:57 يَخْتَصِمُونَ They divided.

11:01 Now, in the movie, after this happened, I had a ball of light came and took Sheytan,

11:08 and carried him to the planet earth, to his prison, see.

11:12 This whole universe.

11:13 And also, all the other angels who agreed with him, they became jinns.

11:17 A woman: La Elaha Ella Allah. Dr. Khalifa: Yeah.

11:19 Dr. Khalifa: That's right.

11:20 So, this is why he was not pardoned.

11:23 Adam and Hawa (Eve) were pardoned.

11:25 But not Sheytan, because he continued to insist that he can rule part of the, of the kingdon, God's kingdom by himself.

11:33 A woman: Rashad, I have a question. But when he said that most of them will not believe in You except Your servants, which are totally devoted to You, he was right. And in fact that's why it happened.

11:45 Dr. Khalifa: Sure.

11:46 A woman: But why did the Malaik (angels) (unintelligible)? Dr. Khalifa: He said, but God wanted that. See?

11:51 Dr. Khalifa: God wanted to give him constituents to show...

11:54 I mean, look at the disasters, the accidents.

11:57 Dr. Khalifa: Remember the girl that came here on wheelchairs?

12:00 A woman: Yes. Jennifer. Dr. Khalifa: Well, this is Jennifer.

12:03 Dr. Khalifa: She... this is a girl who came here briefly. She was studying religions.

12:06 But she was 17, 18 years old, a freshman at the university.

12:11 Beautiful girl.

12:13 And she was riding in a car with her father and her mother.

12:16 And there comes a drunk driver smashing their car.

12:20 Her mother dies and her father almost dies.

12:22 His aorta was, got the operation. Yeah.

12:27 Dr. Khalifa: And she is crippled for the rest of her life.

12:29 A woman: Terribly, too. Just completely. Just

12:31 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah, from the neck down. A woman: (unintelligible) Yeah.

12:33 A woman: And she has become (unintelligible)?

12:35 Dr. Khalifa: No.

12:36 A woman: She looked at it.

12:38 Dr. Khalifa: I'm telling you, this girl would have been healed if she continued to be... I really feel that. A woman: I believe you're right. You know what, I think (unintelligible)

12:43 A woman: (unintelligible) become a Muslim. A woman: (unintelligible)

12:46 Dr. Khalifa: Just about.

12:48 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah, almost.

12:49 Dr. Khalifa: He's just about. His sister and his mother became Muslim.

12:52 And now they're working on him.

12:54 A woman: Who's this?

12:54 A woman: Who?

12:55 Dr. Khalifa: Michael Jackson. A woman: Michael Jackson.

12:56 A woman: Yeah, isn't that something?

12:57 A woman: IN SHAA ALLAH. IN SHAA ALLAH. A woman: IN SHAA ALLAH. IN SHAA ALLAH.

13:00 A woman: And how did the Malaik (angels) know about Adam and his children that they are going to...?

13:07 Dr. Khalifa: God told them everything.

13:08 A woman: Bloodshed and...

13:09 A woman: Ah.

13:10 Dr. Khalifa: See, God told them everything. God told them... A woman: He told them everything.

13:13 Dr. Khalifa: And He said that these creatures, the human beings, they will not see Me.

13:17 He said "I'm going to have a perfect test for Sheytan, to prove that he is an incompetent god."

13:24 And for this, I have created the human race.

13:27 They are people who have absolute freedom of choice.

13:31 And those among them who side with Sheytan's opinion, that I alone am not enough,

13:37 they will be his constituents.

13:39 We'll see if he can take care of them or not.

13:42 Okay? So, from the descriptions, from the description of of these conditions, the angels said "but this means that many

13:51 of them will choose Sheytan, and then they will be divided, and they will have wars and bloodshed."

13:57 And God said "I know what you don't know."

14:00 A woman: And what was that? Dr. Khalifa: Ok.

14:02 Dr. Khalifa: was that... That was before the exposure of Shaytan. A woman (Speaking Farsi): Yes.

14:06 Dr. Khalifa: He knew what was in Sheytan's head.

14:08 Dr. Khalifa: See, now we're going back.

14:09 A woman: But that was before.

14:11 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah, before Sheytan was exposed.

14:14 You see, because they said, you know what they said?

14:16 They said,

14:17 أَتَجْعَلُ فِيهَا مَن يُفْسِدُ فِيهَا وَيَسْفِكُ ٱلدِّمَآءَ وَنَحْنُ نُسَبِّحُ Recall that your Lord said to the angels, "I am placing a representative (a temporary god) on Earth." They said, "Will You place therein one who will spread evil therein and shed blood, while we sing Your praises, glorify You, and uphold Your absolute authority?" He said, "I know what you do not know. (بِحَمْدِكَ وَنُقَدِّسُ لَكَ) [2:30]

14:25 Are you familiar with that verse?

14:26 A woman: We just read it this afternoon. Dr. Khalifa: They said نَحْنُ

14:28 Dr. Khalifa: The angels said "and we the angels, نُسَبِّحُ بِحَمْدِكَ

14:32 A woman: Yes.

14:33 Dr. Khalifa: "we glorify You, we praise Your Glory,

14:36 وَنُقَدِّسُ لَكَ

14:37 Dr. Khalifa: "and we hold You sacred." A woman: Exactly.

14:39 Dr. Khalifa: Now, the angels... when the angels said this, they were not accurate.

14:43 Dr. Khalifa: Because there was one of them who was not doing this. They didn't know. A woman: They didn't know. That's, that's the issue.

14:47 Dr. Khalifa: So, God said,

14:48 Recall that your Lord said to the angels, "I am placing a representative (a temporary god) on Earth." They said, "Will You place therein one who will spread evil therein and shed blood, while we sing Your praises, glorify You, and uphold Your absolute authority?" He said, "I know what you do not know. (إِنِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ) [2:30]

14:50 A woman: Yeah.

14:51 Dr. Khalifa: So, God said "I know what you do not know."

14:54 Dr. Khalifa: Which is something...

14:55 Parivash: (unintelligible) A woman: Allahu Akbar (God is Great).

15:02 A woman: Yes.

15:03 Dr. Khalifa: Also, this is why He said "didn't I tell you that I know...

15:05 He said, "O Adam, tell them their names." When he told them their names, He said, "Did I not tell you that I know the secrets of the heavens and the earth? I know what you declare, and what you conceal. (أَعْلَمُ مَا تُبْدُونَ وَمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْتُمُونَ) [2:33]

15:08 "Didn't I tell you that I know what you declare, and what you...

15:12 You know what's Katam?

15:14 Dr. Khalifa: Ketman?

15:15 Parivash: Yes. Ketman. Parivash (Speaking Farsi): Concealed.

15:16 Dr. Khalifa: وَمَا تَكْتُمُونَ

15:17 A woman (Speaking Farsi): No, meaning (unintelligible) Dr. Khalifa: Conceal.

15:20 Dr. Khalifa: "... you declare and what you conceal?"

15:22 أَلَمْ أَقُل لَّكُمْ إِنِّىٓ أَعْلَمُ مَا تُبْدُونَ

15:25 "declare"

15:26 وَمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْتُمُونَ

15:27 "And what you were hiding."

15:29 Because it became exposed, now.

15:31 Dr. Khalifa: The whole thing is in the Quran. A woman: And that's the key

15:33 A woman: the key to the word?

15:35 Dr. Khalifa: Hmm? A woman: To Adam?

15:38 Dr. Khalifa: The key to Adam?

15:39 A woman: Yes, the words.

15:40 Dr. Khalifa: Oh, oh, the names. Yes. he... God A woman: The words. Yes. The names.

15:43 Dr. Khalifa: God taught him all the names, yes. A woman: All the names and everything.

15:46 Dr. Khalifa: This is how we invented these machines, those videos, and cars, and this light. In other words, God gave Adam knowledge.

15:57 Dr. Khalifa: Anyway, so, where were we?

16:01 A woman: "I gave him knowledge."

16:02 Dr. Khalifa: Are you tired? I haven't started yet.

16:09 A woman: Then, the Sheytan, no. Dr. Khalifa: Where were we?

16:11 A woman: The Malaik, they didn't know.

16:14 Dr. Khalifa: Yes, so now, those... Sheytan became confined to this universe, this lowest universe.

16:22 A woman: And then in the...

16:23 Dr. Khalifa: Until the period of test is over. And we already see the results.

16:27 It is total chaos.

16:29 And I gave the example of this girl.

16:31 It's a tragedy.

16:33 A young girl crippled for life.

16:35 A drunk driver.

16:36 The woman dies. The man is injured.

16:38 And this is the kind of thing.

16:40 In the movie, I have her story in this movie.

16:43 And I have the drunk driver going there.

16:47 And one of Sheytan's assistants comes in the car and takes over the drunk driver.

16:53 And actually, and tries to, tries to... I'm showing that Sheytan is trying to have a perfect world, but he can't.

17:01 So, this sheytan (devil) is trying to steer the car away from the other car where this girl was sitting.

17:08 But, but it's too late. He can't.

17:10 But because he took over this drunk driver, he protected him.

17:14 So, which happens a lot.

17:17 So, the car is completely smashed.

17:19 And this guy opens the door and walks out, you know, without a scratch.

17:22 You know, this drunk driver.

17:24 Even though the car is completely smashed.

17:27 And it happens. You see it a lot, happen, in accidents.

17:31 A woman: It's true. When the film will come out?

17:33 Dr. Khalifa: Oh, I don't know. A woman: It will be fantastic.

17:36 Dr. Khalifa: Probably 5 years, 10 years. I don't know. When God wills. But we have it ready.

17:39 Dr. Khalifa: Hmm?

17:40 A woman: Would you please answer this question?

17:43 I want to have that in the tape.

17:45 When people idol worship and ask the other humans, the saints and everybody,

17:52 "Please give us this or heal us." Who is doing that?

17:57 Answer it, please.

18:00 Dr. Khalifa: You see, they are immediately out of God's kingdom.

18:02 See, the minute they ask anybody other than God, they are out of God's kingdom.

18:06 They belong in Sheytan's kingdom.

18:08 And they actually, they take themselves out of God's Mercy.

18:12 One of the...

18:13 It's, it's very simple things that take the people out of God's kingdom.

18:18 There is the most prominent Mullah in the Arab world today. It's Sheikh Metwalli Sha'rawi.

18:24 His name is Sheikh Metwalli Sha'rawi.

18:27 And I have a mutual friend.

18:30 One that is his friend and is my friend.

18:33 And he is trying to arrange a meeting between Sheikh Sha'rawi and myself, for 3 years now and it just never happens.

18:41 Something happens.

18:42 Like, I was supposed to meet him.

18:45 A woman: It cracked me up. Dr. Khalifa: Yeah. I was supposed to meet him in Washington, for example.

18:49 Dr. Khalifa: One time, then, his daughter got sick.

18:53 So, he went to see her somewhere.

18:55 So, I couldn't meet him.

18:56 And then, he came to Washington last January.

19:01 Last February. This last month.

19:03 And then, my father got sick.

19:05 So, I went to Egypt.

19:06 And I couldn't meet him. But anyway,

19:08 Sheikh Metwalli Sha'rawi is almost revered by millions of Muslims in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and those places

19:18 like he's a holy imam, you know.

19:21 This Sheikh Sha'rawi.

19:22 And this is how he begins his speeches.

19:25 And if I ever meet him, I'm going to just stay with his opening statement of his speeches.

19:31 He says,

19:31 الحمد الله رب العلمين والصلوة والسلام على اشرف المرسلین و خاتم النبیین سیدنا محمد وعلى آله وصحبه أجمعين

19:44 Now, the minute he makes that statement, he is out of God's Mercy.

19:49 And he is not guided in his speeches.

19:51 He has to be on his own.

19:53 Because he's immediately in Sheytan's kingdom. And he doesn't even know it.

19:57 Because he says, Praise be to GOD, Lord of the universe. (ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ) [1:2] This, this is perfect.

20:01 And then, he mentions somebody else's name, the Prophet Muhammad, but not only does he

20:06 put somebody with Him, he calls him اشرف المرسلین

20:10 Parivash: اشرف المرسلین Yeah.

20:11 Dr. Khalifa: Yes, "the most honorable messenger."

20:13 Immediately, he broke the commandment that says,

20:16 The messenger has believed in what was sent down to him from his Lord, and so did the believers. They believe in GOD, His angels, His scripture, and His messengers: "We make no distinction among any of His messengers." They say, "We hear, and we obey.* Forgive us, our Lord. To You is the ultimate destiny. (لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ أَحَدٍۢ مِّن رُّسُلِهِۦ ۚ وَقَالُوا۟ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا) [2:285]

20:21 Immediately, he broke the commandment that came out of Muhammad's mouth.

20:25 A woman: Translate. Translate what he said. Dr. Khalifa: Yeah.

20:27 Parivash: Yes, I... A woman: I know. I want for the tape. Dr. Khalifa: Yeah, but for the tape.

20:31 Dr. Khalifa: In other words, he called him اشرف المرسلین "the most honorable messenger"

20:34 So immediately, he broke the commandment that tells us "do not make any distinction among the messengers of God."

20:41 And this is repeated in other places in Quran.

20:44 A woman: Yeah.

20:44 Dr. Khalifa: But in verse 285 of Sura 2, it is followed immediately by the statement,

20:49 وَقَالُوا۟ سَمِعْنَا وَأَطَعْنَا

20:51 That the believers say "we hear and we obey."

20:54 Finished.

20:55 We will not make any distinction among the messengers.

20:57 But here is Sheikh Sha'rawi saying,

21:00 اشرف المرسلین و خاتم النبیین

21:02 This is... okay, he is خاتم النبیین

21:04 سیدنا our master

21:05 سیدنا محمد

21:07 وعلى آله وصحبه أجمعين

21:10 So, I was gonna just hold him to that opening and tell him "Sheikh Sha'rawi, you are out of God's Mercy."

21:16 Immediately, when you broke that commandment that came out of...

21:23 Susan: That's what he does.

21:24 Dr. Khalifa: Susan.

21:27 Susan: (unintelligible)

21:28 Dr. Khalifa: Isn't it, isn't this what the Quran teach? I mean, isn't it logical? A woman: You're right.

21:32 Dr. Khalifa: Okay.

21:35 Dr. Khalifa: Where are you going?

21:36 A woman: I should go there because I don't want you to have the Dukhan (smoke) in the house. Dr. Khalifa: I mean, God bless you.

21:42 A woman: Dukhan. Dr. Khalifa: Ok.

21:45 A woman: Dukhan is coming. Oh, no.

21:48 A woman: Here comes the Dukhan. We have two Dukhans now.

21:52 Dr. Khalifa: I don't, I don't mind it, but this is nice of you.

21:54 Dr. Khalifa: God bless you.

21:55 A woman: Thank you.

21:57 Dr. Khalifa: Okay, so we were saying, people when the... your question was, people who call on Jesus and Mary and Hussein

22:05 and Muhammad and Ali and all this, the minute, the minute they call on them for any reason,

22:13 they're out, they're out of God's Mercy, they are immediately in Sheytan's constituents.

22:20 It's just as simple as that.

22:21 Dr. Khalifa: And I was doing it for years and years. A woman: So, all these people when they are in the...

22:26 A woman: I know, I was doing it, too. Dr. Khalifa: So, thank God that

22:29 Dr. Khalifa: that I saw the light and came out.

22:30 A woman: So, all these people in churches, it shows on TV.

22:35 They shake the head of the woman and say, "hallelujah, Jesus healed this person and start walking"

22:41 that's Sheytan (Satan) healing that woman, not Jesus.

22:43 Dr. Khalifa: Not even Sheytan healing them. This is all fake.

22:47 Dr. Khalifa: Yes.

22:48 A woman: So, there is no reality?

22:49 Dr. Khalifa: No, they had, they had many TV programs, 60 minutes.

22:53 And some other TV programs, they showed that all this is fake.

22:56 A woman: Alhamdu Lillah. I'm happier. Dr. Khalifa: Yeah. Yeah.

23:00 A woman: Okay, anybody has any question (unintelligible) creation?

23:04 Dr. Khalifa: No, there is something that I wanna say. Yeah.

23:08 Dr. Khalifa: There is something that I want to say, but I forgot. So, I'm gonna remember it, IN SHAA ALLAH.

23:12 A woman: IN SHAA ALLAH.

23:14 A woman: It was, did you finish, you said "I have it in the movie that God sent Sheytan with a ball on the earth."

23:24 Did you finish that?

23:26 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah, see, Sheytan and all his, whoever agreed with him were sent to this earth.

23:31 And Sura 38 talks about,

23:33 I had no knowledge previously, about the feud in the High Society.* (ٱلْمَلَإِ ٱلْأَعْلَىٰٓ إِذْ يَخْتَصِمُونَ) [38:69]

23:35 So, when this Feud happened, we have two points of view.

23:41 One point of view says "Allah alone."

23:43 And this is God's point of view.

23:46 And the other point of view says "Allah and someone else."

23:50 And now, we look at the Quran and we find that the vast, vast majority of human beings

23:59 will side with Sheytan.

24:02 Sura number 12, verse 103.

24:06 It says, Most people, no matter what you do, will not believe. (وَمَآ أَكْثَرُ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَوْ حَرَصْتَ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ) [12:103]

24:11 Do you understand this?

24:14 وَمَآ means "never", means "not."

24:18 وَمَآ أَكْثَرُ ٱلنَّاسِ means "the majority of people."

24:21 وَمَآ أَكْثَرُ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَوْ حَرَصْتَ no matter how careful, no matter how hard you try

24:28 بِمُؤْمِنِينَ they will not believe.

24:30 Most people, no matter what you do, will not believe.

24:34 Okay?

24:35 Dr. Khalifa: This, this will not even believe in God.

24:37 A woman: You talk very kindly, they don't believe. You talk very roughly, they don't believe either.

24:42 A woman: That's true. Dr. Khalifa: Yeah, no matter what you do.

24:45 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah.

24:45 Most people, no matter what you do, will not believe. (وَمَآ أَكْثَرُ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَوْ حَرَصْتَ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ) [12:103]

24:49 Okay, so now we know that the majority of human beings will not believe in God. Period.

24:54 They just don't believe in God.

24:57 Now, the minority of people believe in God.

25:00 Now, we take this minority, look at this minority in verse 106 of the same Sura, 12.

25:08 And it says,

25:09 The majority of those who believe in GOD do not do so without committing idol worship. (وَمَا يُؤْمِنُ أَكْثَرُهُم بِٱللَّهِ إِلَّا وَهُم مُّشْرِكُونَ) [12:106]

25:15 And the majority of those who believe in God insist on putting other names with God.

25:20 So, the majority of believers in God are Mushriks (idol worshipers).

25:25 Therefore, the people who believe in God are really the minority of a minority.

25:30 And this is a statement of fact.

25:33 It is not a law or a commandment or an order.

25:37 It's a statement of fact and we see it around us.

25:42 How many mosques in the world did you see where only the name of Allah is honored and worshipped?

25:50 How many?

25:51 None.

25:53 A church, a synagogue, a mosque, a place of worship, a temple, any place.

25:57 You don't find any.

25:58 You find one in Tucson and one in San Francisco and one scattered around the world.

26:04 But these are very rare.

26:08 So, it is true that

26:09 Most people, no matter what you do, will not believe. (وَمَآ أَكْثَرُ ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَوْ حَرَصْتَ بِمُؤْمِنِينَ) [12:103]

26:13 The majority of those who believe in GOD do not do so without committing idol worship. (وَمَا يُؤْمِنُ أَكْثَرُهُم بِٱللَّهِ إِلَّا وَهُم مُّشْرِكُونَ) [12:106]

26:17 Except with other names with Allah.

26:20 They do not believe in Allah alone in other words.

26:23 They do not believe in Allah without some other names with Him.

26:28 Mary or Jesus or Muhammad and so forth.

26:31 A woman: I have a question which they ask me all the time.

26:34 I want you to explain to them.

26:39 Ok. They said "God wanted to show the angels,

26:46 "Sheytan is arrogant and rebellious.

26:50 "That's why He created Adam and his descendants on the earth.

26:56 "Why God did that to us?

26:59 "And we have Sheytan in our hands and we have God.

27:03 "And it's hard to choose.

27:05 "So, why do we call God is justice?

27:10 Dr. Khalifa: That's a very good question.

27:13 And it is perfectly...

27:16 The rule is that God does not inflict an atom's weight of injustice.

27:21 GOD does not inflict an atom's weight of injustice. On the contrary, He multiplies the reward manifold for the righteous work, and grants from Him a great recompense. (إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَظْلِمُ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍۢ) [4:40]

27:24 This is the law.

27:30 So, "why did God do this to us" is an invalid question.

27:36 It's not valid because we are the ones who did this to us.

27:41 Every single one of us was asked "Would you like to have the freedom of choice or do you like to submit outright?"

27:47 And you and I and everybody said "No, we want the freedom of choice.

27:52 Dr. Khalifa: Every single individual. A woman: On that conference day?

27:54 Dr. Khalifa: Yes. Every single person was asked. A woman: You mean the same verse 172?

27:59 Dr. Khalifa: No, no, no.

28:00 A woman: Which one? Dr. Khalifa: This is verse, the end of Sura 33.

28:02 Dr. Khalifa: Al-Ahzãb (The Parties) A woman: The end of Sura 33. Ok. Al-Ahzãb

28:04 We have offered the responsibility (freedom of choice) to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they refused to bear it, and were afraid of it. But the human being accepted it; he was transgressing, ignorant.* (إِنَّا عَرَضْنَا ٱلْأَمَانَةَ عَلَى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱلْجِبَالِ) [33:72]

28:08 A woman: Ok. We have the freedom of choice there? Dr. Khalifa: Yes.

28:12 Dr. Khalifa: We have offered the responsibility (freedom of choice) to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they refused to bear it, and were afraid of it. But the human being accepted it; he was transgressing, ignorant.* (فَأَبَيْنَ أَن يَحْمِلْنَهَا وَأَشْفَقْنَ مِنْهَا وَحَمَلَهَا وَحَمَلَهَا ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ) [33:72]

28:15 Every human being, you and I and Parivash and Senobar and Susan, Every human being on earth

28:22 was asked personally "Do you want the freedom of choice or do you want outright submission?"

28:30 And every one of us said "we'll take the freedom of choice."

28:33 You see, in that time, we thought it's very easy.

28:37 You know, we said "oh, it's very easy. We're gonna choose you. We know You're the Master. You're our Lord." You know, it's very easy.

28:42 We underestimated the power of Sheytan.

28:46 A woman: That's right. We still do.

28:48 Dr. Khalifa: Well, of course.

28:49 I mean, even then, in that dimension, we underestimated the power of Sheytan.

28:53 We said "who's gonna be stupid enough to choose this Sheytan, this creature of Yours? Who's going to choose you?

28:59 "It's very easy. Of course, we'll take the freedom of choice."

29:01 And this is why it says, We have offered the responsibility (freedom of choice) to the heavens and the earth, and the mountains, but they refused to bear it, and were afraid of it. But the human being accepted it; he was transgressing, ignorant.* (إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ ظَلُومًۭا جَهُولًۭا) [33:72]

29:04 At the end, that the human being was stupid to do that.

29:07 Because we underestimated the power of Sheytan.

29:11 The power of Sheytan, he's so tricky.

29:13 And he dupes us, you know.

29:17 And you've met hundreds of people and you see the amount of resistance when you tell them "God alone."

29:23 You say "Allah alone."

29:24 And the resistance is just too much.

29:27 And a lot of them, a lot of them are people with common sense and logic and everything.

29:32 You tell them "God alone."

29:34 And the resistance is just fantastic.

29:37 And the majority don't make it.

29:39 99.9%.

29:40 They cannot break away from all the traditions and customs that they inherited.

29:50 It took me 3 years to, when I wake up in the morning, to say "La Elaha Ella Allah Wahdahu La Shareeka Lah."

29:57 3 years to get rid of "Muhammad Rasul Allah."

30:02 Just one day, it dawned on me, I said "I'm gonna wake up on the Day of Resurrection saying

30:05 "La Elaha Ella Allah, Muhammad Rasul Allah."

30:07 And Muhammad is a human being who is worried with me, you know.

30:10 On the Day of Hashr, you call it Hashr?

30:13 A woman: Yes.

30:14 Dr. Khalifa: The Day of Hashr? Yawm Al-Hashr? A woman (Speaking Farsi): Mahshar

30:15 A woman (Speaking Farsi): Mahshar Dr. Khalifa: Mahshar.

30:17 A woman: (Speaking Farsi): The Day of Hashr. Mahshar. Dr. Khalifa: Yeah. On the Mahshar

30:18 Dr. Khalifa: See, the Prophet Muhammad A woman: (Speaking Farsi): The Day of Mahshar.

30:20 Dr. Khalifa: Surat Al-Anbyã', Sura number 21, it says "The Prophet

30:23 "Muhammad and Moses, and Ibrahim, and all of them will be in Mahshar. They will all be worried."

30:27 Dr. Khalifa: You know, what will happen to us?

30:28 A woman: No.

30:29 Dr. Khalifa: What I'm saying is, when they come to me, for example, and say "you disrespect the Prophet Muhammad

30:34 "by not mentioning his name in your Namaz."

30:42 Dr. Khalifa: If they come to me and say "you disrespect the Prophet by not mentioning his name in the Namaz."

30:51 So, the answer to this is "disrespecting the Prophet, or Ali, or Hussein, or any other Prophet, is a forgivable offense."

31:03 "But Shirk is not a forgivable offense. It's the only unforgivable offense."

31:09 Putting other names besides Allah is an unforgivable offense.

31:14 Because the verse that is repeated in Sura number 4 twice, that says, Allah does not

31:18 GOD does not forgive idolatry,* but He forgives lesser offenses for whomever He wills. Anyone who sets up idols beside GOD, has forged a horrendous offense. (إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَغْفِرُ أَن يُشْرَكَ بِهِۦ) [4:48]

31:22 God does not forgive Shirk.

31:24 GOD does not forgive idolatry,* but He forgives lesser offenses for whomever He wills. Anyone who sets up idols beside GOD, has forged a horrendous offense. (وَيَغْفِرُ مَا دُونَ ذَٰلِكَ لِمَن يَشَآءُ) [4:48]

31:28 And He forgives anything else.

31:31 Murder, disrespecting a Prophet is forgivable.

31:35 Anything is forgivable.

31:37 But the only thing that is not forgivable is Shirk.

31:40 Putting something next to God.

31:42 So, I am taking a chance on disrespecting... if you want to accuse me of disrespecting

31:47 the Prophet, you cannot accuse me of being Mushrik, of putting something besides Allah.

31:52 Because I say all my Namaz with only the name of Allah in it, from beginning to end.

31:57 Only God.

31:58 Therefore, you cannot accuse me of Shirk, which is the only unforgivable offense.

32:03 So, if you accuse me of disrespecting the Prophet, I welcome that. This is a...

32:07 This is a forgivable offense.

32:10 But I tell them "for your information, I do not disrespect the Prophet."

32:14 This is what the Prophet wants.

32:16 And this is what every Prophet wants.

32:18 La Elaha Ella Allah. God alone.

32:21 And this is what we find in Sura 21, verse 31, I think.

32:27 Where it says "every messenger I send with only one message, La Elaha Ella Allah."

32:33 Now, notice there's something that we take for granted by the way.

32:37 That La Elaha Ella Allah, which is the motto of Islam, or the principle of Islam, La Elaha Ella Allah begins with La.

32:45 La Elaha Ella Allah

32:48 No other thing with Allah.

32:52 And you notice that in the Quran, every messenger goes to the people and says

32:59 أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوٓا۟ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ

33:01 My message is أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوٓا۟ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ

33:03 that you shall not, a negative, you shall not worship except Allah.

33:09 It doesn't say, اعبدوا الله worship God.

33:12 Because people worship God and go to Hell.

33:16 They worship God and they also put some other names beside Him.

33:19 And this is why the consistent message in Quran is أَلَّا تَعْبُدُوٓا۟ إِلَّا ٱللَّهَ

33:25 It's a negative commandment.

33:28 That you shall not worship except Allah.

33:32 Dr. Khalifa: So, this is the accuracy of Quran.

33:34 A woman: Now, you know why you always keep telling me "Mary, don't say that, don't bring them."

33:41 I said "I can't help it."

33:43 This is... There is only God. You have to talk only God because I knew it. It's a responsibility.

33:49 A woman: I felt for you guys.

33:52 A woman: Now you know how I felt. Dr. Khalifa: This is why...

33:55 Dr. Khalifa: This is why the reward is so fantastic.

33:58 In other words, you say "La Elaha Ella Allah" and you do it,

34:02 only Allah is in your mind, in your life, in all your thoughts and no other names with Him,

34:07 you're a king or queen on earth.

34:10 You enter God's Kingdom where there is no disease, no headache, no problem, no traffic tickets.

34:20 Really. Perfect life.

34:22 This is, I find this the most difficult thing for the people to believe.

34:26 Dr. Khalifa: And this is why I wish you were here for the last Khutba on Friday.

34:30 A woman: I wish.

34:30 Dr. Khalifa: I was bragging about everybody in this mosque,

34:33 you know, I say "the people here, you just..." because we have beautiful babies, Alhamdu Lillah, Mã Shã Allãh.

34:38 You have to say Alhamdu Lillah and Mã Shã Allãh.

34:39 And I was saying it with every statement.

34:42 And we have people who left the Masjid.

34:44 And they had deformed babies.

34:46 I mean, things that we see with our own eyes.

34:49 And it's because when you come, especially in places like your Masjid, this Masjid,

34:53 when you come to the message of God alone, and you reject it, Whoa.

35:00 You see, when you come to the message of God alone, Sheytan hates you.

35:05 But he cannot touch you because you're protected. You have guards around you, other angels.

35:09 A woman: Exactly like her. Dr. Khalifa: Yeah.

35:10 A woman: (unintelligible)

35:12 Dr. Khalifa: You have angels around you, guarding you.

35:15 When you say God alone, no other names with Him.

35:18 A woman: That's right.

35:18 Dr. Khalifa: But then, Sheytan is very angry with you and mad at you because you rejected his point of view.

35:25 But the minute you step out of God's Kingdom, he's waiting for you and he beats you up, you know. And it's really disastrous.

35:33 In the movie that I wrote, I had... there's a Rabbi in Boston, Rabbi Kushner is his name.

35:41 He wrote a book that says "Why Bad Things Happen to Good People."

35:45 This is the title of the book.

35:47 And of course, bad things don't happen to good people. Never.

35:52 This is God's promise in the Quran.

35:54 And this is a new age.

35:56 We are now in a new age where things are straightforward.

35:59 You stay with God and everything is perfect.

36:02 Not in the old times where you had to go and prove yourself by giving your life

36:07 and being killed as a Shahid (Martyr) for God, you know. This is...

36:10 Because now it's all mental.

36:12 We are educated people.

36:13 There's a lot of science. And...

36:15 And the whole thing is by logic and by thinking.

36:18 So, once you make a decision, logically, to be with God, then you are proven.

36:23 And you are immediately in God's Kingdom and you are immediately protected.

36:29 Dr. Khalifa: I'm forgetting what I want to say. It's very important. A woman: The Rabbi of Boston.

36:32 Dr. Khalifa: Ok. Yeah. Rabbi Kushner wrote that book "Why Bad Things Happen to Good People."

36:38 He had a child that had a disease called progeria,

36:45 Rapid aging disease.

36:47 The child became aged very fast. In 14 years, the child died.

36:51 So, the Rabbi and his wife were suffering and the child was suffering, was miserable.

36:57 And he mentions it in the book for 14 years.

37:00 And in the book, his explanation of why bad things happen to good people,

37:06 is that "God is unable to control the world."

37:10 "That God is crying with you."

37:12 "And God really wants you to be healthy, but He just can't help it."

37:15 "There are too many people", you know.

37:18 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah. A woman: (unintelligible)

37:20 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah. And he goes to ridiculous lengths.

37:23 He says "are you willing to forgive God?"

37:26 You know, "and realize His inability."

37:30 "Just like you forgive your parents", etc, etc.

37:32 I mean, it's just blasphemous.

37:34 And you can see exactly why his son became like this.

37:38 Now, here is a Rabbi who preaches the worship of God.

37:42 Alright?

37:43 He preaches the worship of God.

37:44 A woman: La Elaha Ella Allah

37:45 Dr. Khalifa: And Satan is angry at him.

37:47 So, in the movie, I have somebody like him preaching the worship of God.

37:51 And then, this woman and her husband are crying, coming out of the church.

37:56 And asking him that their son was hit with a car and died or something.

38:00 And they were crying.

38:01 And they're asking the priest or the minister "why did this happen?", and so forth.

38:05 And he says "believe me, God is crying with you."

38:08 "And it's just... this is out of control."

38:10 In other words, I'm taking it from the book of the Rabbi.

38:12 And then, next, I show the Rabbi sitting in his home, watching the TV with his wife.

38:18 And his wife is pregnant.

38:20 And then, Sheytan comes in through the wall.

38:23 And he goes into her body and plays with the baby.

38:28 You know, in the script.

38:30 And then, the baby is born deformed.

38:34 So, these are things that we actually see happening.

38:38 So, this is why bad things happen because he blasphemes against God.

38:42 Do you think this Rabbi is in God's Kingdom?

38:44 Will he be protected?

38:46 So, the idea here is that Satan is the cause of all these disasters.

38:50 First, his incompetence, his inability.

38:53 Second, his deliberate bad actions against the people who do not side with his opinion,

39:00 once they step out of God's protection.

39:04 So, and this is why the retribution is doubled for people who see the message.

39:11 Once you see the message, and you see God alone, there is a double responsibility here.

39:17 You accept it, or you reject it.

39:19 If you accept it, you continue to be protected from Satan, Sheytan.

39:24 But if you reject it, then you gave up God's protection.

39:28 Dr. Khalifa: And Sheytan will play havoc with you.

39:31 A woman: Dr. Khalifa, I have a question.

39:33 It's different to the subject we are talking about.

39:37 It's about the Salat (Contact Prayer).

39:40 Before the Salat, ablution is really important, that's for sure.

39:44 But if we just get out of the shower, do we have to do it again?

39:51 Dr. Khalifa: No, you do the ablution in the shower.

39:53 Dr. Khalifa: You go through the motions in the same order. Yes. A woman: In the shower. Ok.

39:56 A woman: Ok. (unintelligible) That's good. Dr. Khalifa: Yes.

39:58 Dr. Khalifa: See, the idea... remember the order?

40:01 Dr. Khalifa: The face, the arms, the hair, and the feet. A woman: Yeah. Of course. I always do it

40:05 A woman: but I heard some people said, in Hadith, it says only Ghusl Janabat is the only thing.

40:12 Dr. Khalifa: No. A woman: But I...

40:14 Dr. Khalifa: Even in Ghusl Janabat, you have to do the Wudu.

40:17 A woman: You have to do the ablution in this direction. Dr. Khalifa: Yes.

40:19 Dr. Khalifa: Yes. A woman: Ok.

40:20 A woman: Another thing that I have is about, again, the Salat.

40:24 In the midnight, when you wake up, and you wanna do the Salat, do you have to do in

40:35 any direction, or you can do anything you want?

40:40 Dr. Khalifa: Direction of Mecca, yes.

40:41 A woman: No, no, no. That's not what I mean.

40:43 A woman: I mean, for example, you can do 2 Rak'at, 4 Rak'at, whatever you want. Dr. Khalifa: Anything.

40:50 A woman: Anything.

40:51 And another thing is, can you do it like kind of meditation

40:55 just sit straight towards the Qibla, and just meditate with God?

40:59 Dr. Khalifa: Right.

41:00 A woman: Which one is better in Quran, within the Quran? Dr. Khalifa: Whatever you feel like.

41:04 Dr. Khalifa: It's up to you. Whatever your heart tells you.

41:07 A woman: But you have to get out of the bed, and get up, and do it.

41:12 A woman: Not in the bed. Dr. Khalifa: No.

41:13 Dr. Khalifa: You don't have to do anything. It's not required.

41:15 Dr. Khalifa: That's extra. A woman: Can we do it in the bed?

41:18 Dr. Khalifa: Sure.

41:19 I mean, that's not required in the middle of the night.

41:23 It's not required.

41:23 Dr. Khalifa: That's extra.

41:24 A woman: That's the extra (unintelligible). Dr. Khalifa: It's beautiful. Yeah.

41:27 Dr. Khalifa: That's not required.

41:29 A man & a woman: (unintelligible)

41:34 A woman: When you are praying for people, for example, for the the war, for the wars, for the

41:43 people you know, OK, the praying, how is it supposed to be, the praying?

41:50 I know it's only ask of God.

41:53 But how?

41:54 Just mention the name, or what? I don't know.

41:58 Dr. Khalifa: OK, the Prayers are given in the Quran.

42:03 The prayer for others, God teaches us how to do it.

42:08 It says, for example,

42:09 رَبَّنَا ٱغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِإِخْوَٰنِنَا ٱلَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِٱلْإِيمَـٰنِ وَلَا تَجْعَلْ فِى Those who became believers after them say, "Our Lord, forgive us and our brethren who preceded us to the faith, and keep our hearts from harboring any hatred towards those who believed. Our Lord, You are Compassionate, Most Merciful. (قُلُوبِنَا غِلًّۭا لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟) [59:10]

42:16 So, it's always, you cannot ask forgiveness for a Mushrik, for an idol worshipper.

42:23 Because the example of Ibrahim. He asked forgiveness for his father.

42:29 And this was wrong.

42:30 Why is it wrong?

42:31 Because God said "I do not forgive the idol worshipper."

42:34 And you turn around and you say "please God, forgive this idol worshipper."

42:37 This means you're not accepting God's decision not to forgive, never to forgive the idol worshipper who dies.

42:44 By the way, a person who is an idol worshipper at the time of death.

42:50 For example, I was an idol worshipper for a long time, but I repented.

42:54 I discovered what the truth is.

42:56 Dr. Khalifa: But if the idol worship is maintained until the time of death, then this is where it is unforgivable. It's finished.

43:05 A woman: Excuse me. Dr. Khalifa: Yeah.

43:06 Dr. Khalifa: Even the Prophet Muhammad, and this upsets a lot of people, he was an idol worshipper.

43:12 Dr. Khalifa: And this is in the Quran. A woman: And this is the Quran.

43:13 A woman: It says in Quran.

43:14 Dr. Khalifa: See, and this shocks them. You know, they refuse to see it. They don't wanna see it.

43:17 A woman: But he repented though.

43:19 Dr. Khalifa: Of course.

43:20 Dr. Khalifa: In fact, this makes a better teacher out of him.

43:23 Because I understand the mentality of the Mushriks.

43:25 I understand how the people go before the saint and pray to the saint.

43:29 Because I did it.

43:30 And for me, it was very valuable education.

43:34 So, this makes a better messenger out of Muhammad, that he was just like the rest of his society.

43:40 Yes, in Sura 40, verse 66.

43:46 Dr. Khalifa: No?

43:47 It says "I was stopped from worshipping what you worshipped when the clear revelations came to me." I mean, it's...

43:53 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah. A woman: What Sura?

43:54 Dr. Khalifa: 66 of Sura 40.

43:56 A woman: Ok.

43:58 Dr. Khalifa: They refuse to believe God, you know. They know better than God. They say "no, Muhammad was pure and beautiful."

44:03 "He never did anything like that."

44:04 A woman: No, it says very straight in the Quran.

44:08 Dr. Khalifa: There's some crazy guy out there on the street. Drunk, drunk (unintelligible).

44:13 It says,

44:14 He found you astray, and guided you. (وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّۭا فَهَدَىٰ) [93:7]

44:15 Like you say "zallan," He found you astray, and guided you. (وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّۭا فَهَدَىٰ) [93:7]

44:19 Right?

44:20 So, he was ضَآلًّۭا

44:22 And God guided him when...

44:25 But they refuse that.

44:27 My father wouldn't accept it.

44:29 I say "was he Zallan or not?

44:30 He said "no, he wasn't."

44:31 I said "God says he was."

44:33 "Do you know better than God?

44:34 Dr. Khalifa: You know, I tell him. A woman: It's amazing because he knows how to read Arabic.

44:38 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah. Exactly. A woman: And I always beg him to go learn Arabic more and more.

44:42 Dr. Khalifa: Makes no difference. What did I tell you? See? A woman: Now, I know you told

44:44 Dr. Khalifa: My father, there is nobody who knows Arabic better than my father. A woman: me that statement.

44:47 Dr. Khalifa: I mean he studied the Nahv, the grammar, everything that has to do with Arabic.

44:52 He memorized the Quran since he was 8 years old.

44:55 Dr. Khalifa: He never lost it. A woman: What he says about that verse?

44:57 He found you astray, and guided you. (وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلًّۭا فَهَدَىٰ) [93:7] ?

44:59 Dr. Khalifa: He said "he wasn't."

45:01 A woman: But that says...

45:03 Dr. Khalifa: He refuses. I know.

45:04 A woman: What you did?

45:05 Dr. Khalifa: I said "you're telling God "I know better than You. I know Muhammad better than You.""

45:09 A woman: Allahu Akbar. Ok. Dr. Khalifa: Yeah. Absolutely.

45:12 A woman: Listen to this question.

45:15 You, you had this question some times ago.

45:18 A woman: When somebody dies.

45:20 Dr. Khalifa: Oh no, I didn't finish that point. A woman: You didn't finish that point.

45:22 Dr. Khalifa: I was saying that God says that I do not forgive idol worship.

45:28 And then, you turn around and you say "please, God forgive this idol worshiper."

45:31 This is why Ibrahim was reprimanded when he said "please, God forgive my father."

45:36 So, the proper way for this situation is to say "please, God guide my father to the right path, to the right way."

45:46 You can pray for guidance, but not for forgiveness if the person is an idol worshiper.

45:51 Like in the case of my father, I cannot ask for his forgiveness.

45:55 Because God already said "I do n. t forgive idol worship."

45:58 So, I can't go against God.

46:00 I can only say "please, God guide my father to the right path."

46:05 So, this is an example of the prayer.

46:08 And this is why when you read the Quran, the prayer of Quran for the others, God teaches us by saying,

46:15 Those who became believers after them say, "Our Lord, forgive us and our brethren who preceded us to the faith, and keep our hearts from harboring any hatred towards those who believed. Our Lord, You are Compassionate, Most Merciful. (رَبَّنَا ٱغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِإِخْوَٰنِنَا ٱلَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِٱلْإِيمَـٰنِ) [59:10]

46:19 So, they had Iman (belief). They're Mu'mins (believers).

46:21 Those who became believers after them say, "Our Lord, forgive us and our brethren who preceded us to the faith, and keep our hearts from harboring any hatred towards those who believed. Our Lord, You are Compassionate, Most Merciful. (وَلَا تَجْعَلْ فِى قُلُوبِنَا غِلًّۭا لِّلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟) [59:10]

46:25 It's always consistently.

46:27 So, you can ask for forgiveness to the believers.

46:31 Dr. Khalifa: The little things that we do.

46:33 A woman: The believers who are dead?

46:35 A woman: No.

46:36 Dr. Khalifa: Yes, it could be, it could be for the believers who died.

46:40 Dr. Khalifa: Could be, as long as, as long as you specify the believers.

46:42 A woman: The believers. Yes. That's right.

46:44 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah.

46:44 A woman: But didn't you say last time... Dr. Khalifa: But you cannot name, you cannot name a person.

46:48 A woman: Yeah.

46:48 Dr. Khalifa: Because you do not know if this person is a believer or a Mushrik.

46:51 A woman: That's right.

46:52 Dr. Khalifa: So, this is why when the Quran teaches us, it makes it general. It says,

46:56 Those who became believers after them say, "Our Lord, forgive us and our brethren who preceded us to the faith, and keep our hearts from harboring any hatred towards those who believed. Our Lord, You are Compassionate, Most Merciful. (رَبَّنَا ٱغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِإِخْوَٰنِنَا ٱلَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِٱلْإِيمَـٰنِ) [59:10]

47:01 Those who were before us, the Mu'mins before us.

47:07 A woman: When one of our relative dies, or friend, or whoever we know,

47:14 is this help if we, you just said "yes, it helps to pray."

47:21 But we cannot pray in the name of like, for my father, for my mother.

47:26 A woman: And say that... Dr. Khalifa: No, no, wait.

47:27 I didn't say it helps.

47:30 Dr. Khalifa: I didn't say it helps anybody.

47:31 A woman: So, okay, then I was confused. Dr. Khalifa: You misunderstood.

47:33 A woman: Because you told me it doesn't help before.

47:36 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah, it doesn't help anybody.

47:39 Dr. Khalifa: But... A woman: But when somebody dies, it's finished. Dr. Khalifa: Right.

47:42 Dr. Khalifa: It's his, it's whatever he did. A woman: Then, why do they say "you can do it."

47:45 Dr. Khalifa: It's whatever he did.

47:47 Dr. Khalifa: It's very important. Du'a (prayer) is very important.

47:49 I'll tell you why.

47:51 Dr. Khalifa: You're saying "please God, forgive us and forgive the believers before us.

47:56 A woman: Do you want me to turn on the extra light? Dr. Khalifa: Sure. Sure.

48:06 A woman: Yes, this is very important.

48:08 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah, the Du'a is very important.

48:09 I'll tell you why.

48:10 I read, they have a question and answer in a famous newspaper.

48:14 Or you can do the other one, leave it the other one, so we can see the outside.

48:19 Dr. Khalifa: Keep the outside light on.

48:21 A woman: On?

48:22 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah.

48:23 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah. This way we see if anybody is coming or what.

48:26 And I will leave that, I will leave this on and turn this off.

48:33 This is the best effect.

48:38 Here we have a queen turning the lights off for us.

48:41 No, the other one. Yeah.

48:44 Here.

48:48 Nice

48:52 You can say "please God, forgive the believers before us", because they were believers.

48:55 And the believers are all brothers and sisters.

49:00 God said, The believers are members of one family; you shall keep the peace within your family and reverence GOD, that you may attain mercy. (إِنَّمَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌۭ) [49:10]

49:03 So, your real brothers and sisters are the believers.

49:06 Because, even though you're not my sister, from my father and my mother,

49:12 when you worship God alone and I worship God alone, we're gonna be together forever.

49:16 And my brothers and sisters were in the same house with me for 10-15 years.

49:23 But a believing brother and sister will be for millions of years, for eternity.

49:31 So, this is the real brotherhood.

49:32 The believers are members of one family; you shall keep the peace within your family and reverence GOD, that you may attain mercy. (إِنَّمَا ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ إِخْوَةٌۭ) [49:10]

49:34 A woman: That's beautiful.

49:35 Dr. Khalifa: So, when you say "please God, forgive the believers", you're really praying for your brothers and sisters

49:40 who will be with you in the same place forever, and for a long time.

49:46 The question was in the newspaper "why does God want us to pray to Him?"

49:51 Because God says, Your Lord says, "Implore Me, and I will respond to you. Surely, those who are too arrogant to worship Me will enter Gehenna, forcibly. (وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ٱدْعُونِىٓ أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ) [40:60]

49:55 God says in the Quran "pray to Me, and I will respond to you."

49:59 Your Lord says, "Implore Me, and I will respond to you. Surely, those who are too arrogant to worship Me will enter Gehenna, forcibly. (وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ٱدْعُونِىٓ أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ) [40:60]

50:01 So, the question was "why does God want us..." if everything is written down already,

50:06 "your videotape, my videotape, from birth to death, are written down, recorded,

50:11 "so why pray?"

50:13 That was the question.

50:15 It turns out, the importance of prayer is, it is a fantastic form of worship.

50:21 Because, first of all, it indicates that you do believe in God.

50:27 In other words, if you don't believe in God, I mean, who are you talking to?

50:30 "Please, God, forgive the believers."

50:32 Who are you talking to?

50:33 It indicates, it declares to Sheytan, God points at you and says "See this, this person believes in Me."

50:39 Because nobody will pray to a non-existent imaginary entity.

50:44 A woman: Yeah.

50:46 Dr. Khalifa: Nobody will pray to God if they didn't believe.

50:49 When you say "please God, give me a million dollars."

50:52 Ok. Even though it's a materialistic prayer, but it does indicate that you believe in God.

50:57 It"s the best form of declaring that the person believes in God.

51:01 "Please God, give me a million dollars."

51:04 Who are you talking to?

51:05 To God.

51:06 So, this is the importance of Du'a.

51:08 "Please God, heal my sickness." You know.

51:10 "Please God, remove the headache I have."

51:13 So, you're praying, it proves that you believe in God.

51:16 This is why God says, Your Lord says, "Implore Me, and I will respond to you. Surely, those who are too arrogant to worship Me will enter Gehenna, forcibly. (وَقَالَ رَبُّكُمُ ٱدْعُونِىٓ أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ) [40:60]

51:20 Because every action that we do, God is pointing at us and says "see, he believes in Me."

51:27 "He worships Me."

51:28 Or, Sheytan will say "see, he cannot worship You alone. They have to mention Jesus next to You."

51:35 So, to every person, this life is all for a test.

51:43 Everything else is just a waste of time.

51:45 Everything else we do.

51:46 We are here for the test.

51:49 The One who created death and life for the purpose of distinguishing those among you who would do better. He is the Almighty, the Forgiving. (ٱلَّذِى خَلَقَ ٱلْمَوْتَ وَٱلْحَيَوٰةَ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ) [67:2]

51:52 And God created death, because initially there was no death.

51:57 Dr. Khalifa: But God created death and life لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ to test you, put you to the test.

52:04 A woman: There are some people asking me questions about, like, you know we are going through the test now.

52:12 And, Alhamdu Lillah, it doesn't bother us at all.

52:16 We're really strong now.

52:18 A woman: But they are very worried about Dr. Khalifa: the test.

52:22 A woman: Two of them, they really didn't worry, because they have a good life without any problem.

52:29 And then, they were asking "what's happening? Aren't we a good people? We don't go through the test?"

52:35 I said "yes, you are."

52:38 But, I don't know how better I can explain it.

52:41 A woman: Can you explain it again?

52:42 Dr. Khalifa: Yes, don't ever, don't ever ask for a test.

52:47 I mean, believe me, you're being tested enough thoroughly.

52:50 Before you finish this life, you're gonna be proven exactly if you believe in God alone,

52:54 or if you believe in God and some others besides Him, or you don't believe in God at all.

52:59 You're gonna be completely... this is Sura 29, verse 2.

53:03 Dr. Khalifa: It says "do the people think they'll be left to say "we believe" without being put to the test?"

53:10 Parivash: Sura 2, Baqarah

53:11 Dr. Khalifa: Sura 29.

53:12 Parivash: (unintelligible)

53:13 Dr. Khalifa: Sura 29, verse 2.

53:15 Parivash: verse 2, yeah, that's right. Dr. Khalifa: Yeah.

53:17 Dr. Khalifa: Sura 29, Aya (verse) number 2.

53:20 Parivash: And even Sura 2, it says too, the same thing. Dr. Khalifa: So, one... Of course, yeah.

53:24 وَلَنَبْلُوَنَّكُم بِشَىْءٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْخَوْفِ وَٱلْجُوعِ وَنَقْصٍۢ مِّنَ ٱلْأَمْوَٰلِ We will surely test you through some fear, hunger, and loss of money, lives, and crops. Give good news to the steadfast. (وَٱلْأَنفُسِ وَٱلثَّمَرَٰتِ) [2:155]

53:29 Everybody must be tested.

53:31 But, the test never hurts permanently.

53:38 The test is characterized...There are tests and there is punishment.

53:41 And the difference is, the punishment can leave permanent damage.

53:46 But the test does not leave a permanent damage.

53:49 Dr. Khalifa: You don't lose a finger, for example.

53:52 A woman: You lose your money and stuff so...

53:54 Dr. Khalifa: Yes, you lose things... you lose 1000 dollars.

53:56 When God sends you 10,000. After the test is over and you pass it, then God sends 10,000 to make up for that 1000.

54:03 Dr. Khalifa: So, because the material goes and comes.

54:06 A woman: Well, you said...

54:06 Dr. Khalifa: You just throw your car, you know, or something, and God sends you enough money to make it up after you pass the test.

54:14 So, you can tell these people that if you are with God, you're gonna be put to the test to prove the following.

54:19 That you believe in God under all circumstances.

54:23 Rich and poor.

54:24 Health and sick.

54:27 Under all circumstances.

54:28 Once this is established, there's a final test.

54:31 Dr. Khalifa: Then, you are appointed king or queen on earth.

54:36 A woman: And, OK, then, for example, if we ask for test, that's damaging. Dr. Khalifa: No.

54:43 Dr. Khalifa: Don't ask for test.

54:45 A woman: More?

54:46 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah.

54:47 A woman: No, I'm asking this for the people, they are in... Dr. Khalifa: Yeah.

54:50 Dr. Khalifa: Don't ever... A woman: Yeah, I know.

54:51 Dr. Khalifa: Don't ever ask for test.

54:53 A woman: "(unintelligible) don't You put us under test."

54:56 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah, there is a prayer. A woman: (unintelligible) Du'a (prayer).

54:59 Dr. Khalifa: Yeah.

55:00 A woman: OK, then, you ask God for the material and the Hereafter. Dr. Khalifa: It's OK.

55:09 Dr. Khalifa: It's OK. Perfectly alright. A woman: Ok.

55:11 Dr. Khalifa: Remember I said, because it is a form of worship, and because it indicates that you believe

55:16 in God, even though you're asking for a million dollars or something materialistic.

55:19 A woman: Ok.

55:21 A woman: And one more to last.

55:23 A woman: It is Mahmoud... Dr. Khalifa: Really?

55:26 A woman: For now. Dr. Khalifa: No way. Yeah.

55:29 A woman: Mahmoud asked me about the different Suras.

55:34 I asked you already last night, but I wanna refresh it again.

55:38 And the verses, when you read the verses, some of them they're repeated so often.

55:45 And some of them, they are in a place.

55:48 It does...It's just changing the subject by the sudden. Why?

55:53 Dr. Khalifa: OK, practically every page of Quran says "Worship God alone. Worship God alone." A woman: Yeah.

55:59 "Worship God alone", every page. Is it doing any good?

56:04 A woman: Right.

56:05 Dr. Khalifa: Is it?

56:06 A woman: No, it doesn't. Dr. Khalifa: It is not.

56:08 Dr. Khalifa: It's not. Still the vast, vast majority of people have to mention names with Allah.

56:14 So, this is why subjects are repeated over and over.

56:18 So that, when you open the Quran at random... see, I opened it at random, right?

56:24 And I read, it says

56:25 [12:97] They said, "O our father, pray for forgiveness of our sins; we have been really wrong." [12:98] He said, "I will implore my Lord to forgive you; He is the Forgiver, Most Merciful."

56:35 This is Sura Yousuf, the story of Joseph.

56:39 And it says, oh my gosh, it says here

56:42 [12:103] The majority of people, no matter what you do, will not believe.

56:45 A woman: Yes.

56:46 A woman: Subhan Allah A woman: Allahu Akbar

56:47 Dr. Khalifa: [12:104] Even though you do not ask them for any wage...

56:50 A woman: La Elaha Ella Allah. That's right.

56:52 Dr. Khalifa: [12:104] ...For this is a message to all the people.

56:54 [12:105] And even though the heavens and the earth are full of signs, they pass by them totally heedless!

57:02 [12:106] And the majority of those who believe, fall into idol worship.

57:07 So, every page in the Quran, so you get the message from here that you must worship God alone.

57:14 That it is very difficult, that the majority of people flunk the test.

57:17 They flunk the first test, the majority, of believing in God.

57:21 And then once they pass this test and they believe in God, then Sheytan works on adding other names with God.

57:28 And when they pass this test, he divides them.

57:34 Maliki and Hanafi and Shafi'i and Sunni and Shia and so forth.

57:38 So, this is why there are certain subjects repeated in the Quran.

57:42 It's to increase the chance of people seeing them.

57:46 Like you saw now.

57:47 You open the Quran at random, and this subject of idol worship is repeated.

57:52 Dr. Khalifa: Almost every page.

57:54 A woman: Thank you very much.

57:56 Dr. Khalifa: You're welcome.
