0:00 Latifah, you want to take the line to two?

0:04 There's only one Latifah here.

0:06 Don't look around.

0:14 If you were to obey most of those on earth,

0:17 they would divert you from the path of God.

0:20 They follow nothing but conjecture,

0:23 and they only guess.

0:39 They said, "We hear, and we disobey."

0:44 Their hearts were filled with adoration of the calf, as a consequence of their disbelief.

0:50 disbelief.

0:50 Say, "Miserable indeed is what your belief commands you, if you are believers!"

0:55 Say, "If the abode of the Hereafter with God is exclusively for you, and not for other people, then long for death, if you are truthful."

1:08 But they will never long for it, because of what their hands have sent forth.

1:15 God is fully aware of the wrongdoers.

1:18 In fact, you will find them the most covetous of life; even more so than the polytheists.

1:27 One of them wishes to live a thousand years.

1:30 But this will never save him from the retribution,

1:33 even if he lives that long. God is Seer of everything they do.

1:37 Is what you're saying now right?

1:39 Yeah, it is right.

1:39 Okay, what I, my only plan here is to make it to the United States.

1:45 But I was busy there, so I couldn't make it.

1:47 But I was the one who said, "I'm not going to promote it."

1:51 I'm going to teach a proof that's going to make it.

1:54 But yet, there are some people who disobeyed me.

1:56 And yet, um, they feel that what they themselves have done is their own life.

2:02 They're already getting down to defeat.

2:05 They feel that this here is closer to what they had.

2:08 You know, but then they covered up the Word, you know, and some people did it because of gain.

2:12 And yet, they got so many followers.

2:14 Of course, all of this is because of Satan's trickery itself.

2:18 And the man, or people themselves, fell into this trick.

2:22 And a lot of them, like the Christians and whatever, they idolize others besides God: the Jews, the Catholics, the Orthodox.

2:30 They think that they're going to get into Heaven.

2:33 But they're not going to get into Heaven.

2:35 They're going to get into Hell, because, um,

2:38 Is this what God wanted them to do?

2:46 He wanted us to talk to them, and they denied what we said.

2:54 And if we talk to them, and if they are really stubborn,

2:58 we're supposed to tell them and show them the truth.

3:02 To show that what we stand for is real.

3:08 You can also let them know, too, that you can see it, because if they were really children of God,

3:16 they would learn from that.

3:18 Because they want to live forever and ever.

3:20 Their silver, and their gold, and their Bible chapters, and their scriptures,

3:25 and they want to keep their faith in the grace of God.

3:28 Whereas, it's not.

3:30 And like us, the messengers, we're all the same.

3:35 But I'm talking to people, you know, we long for that.

3:38 You know, because we know that the appointed day is coming.

3:41 And we know, right now, that we have the truth.

3:44 And yet, we couldn't dare tell anybody else that he is going to go.

3:47 Even though we know we have the truth.

3:49 And this is the proof of the mission.

3:51 And yet, they're running from it.

3:54 And they come to you and give you excuses.

3:58 They lie to me and they try to attack me.

4:03 That's my understanding.

4:04 That's beautiful. You touched on a very important point of proof, you know.

4:09 When people come to you and say anything,

4:13 you make a statement, Jesus is the Son of God.

4:15 Why do you say that? Do you have proof? Are you sure?

4:20 If you prove it to me, I'd be glad to believe it.

4:23 But the difference is that we have proof.

4:28 That's a big difference.

4:31 And then too, like you said though, a lot of times, like,

4:35 you know, I try to give out as much as possible, even more than that.

4:39 But then, when I talk to people, I find that a lot of times they doubt it.

4:43 They try to knock it and debate it. You know, they say, oh, yeah.

4:47 You know, a lot of times, that's scary.

4:49 I get excited because I know that it's not just people talking to each other.

4:53 You know, it could be one of the jinn that take over.

4:56 They talk to each other. I can hear it. I can hear it in my brain.

5:00 I can't tell it's people. That's what I'm saying.

5:04 And so therefore, you know, when I related it,

5:08 they go, wow, yeah, you know. And I would think a lot of people would still come to me

5:13 and see a lot of people cry. And then when it comes down to

5:17 Okay, I'm back in my conviction.

5:18 Okay, what's it going to do?

5:19 You know how it is in the air?

5:22 You know what I'm saying?

5:23 So, like, you know, they're putting the message out.

5:25 They're going to send it on the air.

5:27 They're going to send it.

5:28 Everything else, the stuff that's in the soul,

5:30 comes to the god of the air.

5:32 The air is actually doing it.

5:34 And they're going to go home and sell it.

5:36 It comes to the god of the air.

5:38 Okay, we did the job, yeah?

5:41 And then God knows whether they deserve to be guided or not.

5:44 Yeah.

5:46 Okay then, that's that.

5:49 Two, ninety-seven.

5:55 Say, anyone who opposes Gabriel

5:57 should know that he revealed the scripture

5:59 confirming the previous scriptures,

6:01 and a guidance and good news

6:02 for the believers.

6:06 Anyone who opposes God, his angels, his messengers,

6:10 Gabriel and Michael,

6:11 should know that God opposes the unbelievers.

6:14 We have revealed to you profound revelations, and only the wicked reject them.

6:20 Was it not a fact that whenever they made a covenant, some of them would violate it?

6:24 Indeed, most of them do not believe.

6:27 And when a messenger came to them from God confirming their own scripture,

6:31 some of those who were given the previous scriptures disregarded this new scripture,

6:35 as if they did not know.

6:46 So, that's an important piece of information.

6:52 Why do I feel like I just skipped a part of it?

7:03 I guess I don't understand the difference between the whole thing.

7:07 So Jibreel is... It means, you know, Christ's helper?

7:14 You mean who Gabriel is, then?

7:15 Yeah.

7:16 He came to Mary.

7:18 Right.

7:18 He told her about the coming of Christ.

7:21 Right.

7:21 Yeah.

7:22 Right.

7:28 Thank you.

7:30 Thank you.

7:31 Thank you.

7:32 Thank you.

7:38 Thank you.

7:41 So this tells us that Gabriel's function is to mediate revelations between God and the Messengers.

7:48 And this happened since Adam.

7:51 This is the one who carried revelations to Adam, to Noah, to Mary, to Jesus, to Moses.

7:58 Well, God spoke directly with Moses.

8:02 But there are instances where Gabriel also was involved.

8:12 This is his job.

8:15 I was just wondering,

8:17 you know,

8:18 maybe a rebellion

8:20 or something.

8:21 You think,

8:21 right,

8:23 Gabriel took

8:24 Azrael's place there,

8:25 right?

8:26 Yes,

8:27 you know.

8:27 No,

8:28 not necessarily.

8:29 Repeat that.

8:31 No,

8:31 I was saying like,

8:32 okay,

8:32 how do you say that

8:34 Azrael's not

8:34 The archangel?

8:36 Okay,

8:36 but there were

8:39 many archangels.

8:41 Also,

8:42 Satan was kicked out

8:43 before the

8:45 revelations, before the human

8:47 beings were on earth.

8:51 Right?

8:53 So, that was not one of his functions.

8:56 Okay, but it was my understanding,

8:58 was he the only one?

8:59 I was thinking he was the only one

9:01 who defied.

9:03 No, no, no. It was many.

9:05 There were millions.

9:07 Probably millions. Billions.

9:09 Okay.

9:09 Yeah.

9:11 Okay.

9:14 Did the angels then reveal the scripture on their own initiative or was it an order from God?

9:24 It's an order from God, and it was just transmitted, because it's one of the transmission methods of the message, the Quran.

9:34 Moses is the only one that God spoke to directly, I mean, the only one mentioned as spoken to in the Quran, anyway.

9:41 But these are the words of God. The Quran is the word of God, and Gabriel is

9:47 told to go and release them from Muhammad's heart.

9:51 But Muhammad was summoned to the highest horizon, and the Quran was in his heart.

9:56 Like you and I, everybody, each one of us has in his heart, or her heart, the knowledge

10:03 that God is the Master, the Lord. Satan is the renegade.

10:06 We all met God, all of us, before we were born.

10:09 But because of this body, we don't remember.

10:12 And the same way, Muhammad had the Quran in his heart,

10:15 exactly the same way.

10:17 But he needed God to come and release it to his mouth

10:20 from inside.

10:24 So for that knowledge that you have about meeting God

10:27 to come to the surface,

10:29 you need the test to have ended,

10:31 or you need to die, get rid of the body.

10:37 So, Gabriel was just transmitting the words of God, orders from God, letter by letter.

10:44 Why don't we remember that?

10:48 Because the body obscures that knowledge.

10:53 Do you remember your meeting with God?

11:01 That initial one, at the creation of the heavens and the earth, where God said,

11:05 "Am I not your Lord?"

11:08 And we all said, "Yes, we bear witness."

11:12 And God said, "Now you cannot claim on the Day of Judgment that you never heard of me."

11:18 That's what the Quran said.

11:20 But we don't remember that because of this body.

11:25 And the Quran was in Muhammad's heart in the same way.

11:29 So, Gabriel's function was to release the Quran.

11:33 So, what we just read there is a piece of information telling us that Gabriel mediated the release of the Quran.

11:55 We have a whole bunch of angels with us, each one of us. We have two of them, at least.

12:06 Two of them that stay on the right and on the left side. What do you think they are used for then?

12:11 Oh, they do all kinds of things.

12:15 They'll wake you up for Fajr prayer, don't they?

12:18 You know, I don't know.

12:24 They'll do all kinds of things when they really get familiar with you.

12:28 They pinch you to wake you up. I mean pinch.

12:33 They push you off the bed sometimes.

12:38 They will speak to you, they will knock on your door.

12:45 She's shaking her head.

12:46 They'll knock on the door.

12:49 When she gets out of bed, opens the door, there's nobody there.

12:52 But it's time for Fajr prayer.

12:57 They'll speak to you.

12:59 They did it to me once. I was sleeping in bed and I always sleep with the radio on next to me. I always like to have the radio on.

13:10 And then the Fajr prayer time came, and I got up very sleepy and very tired. I was really especially tired that night.

13:21 So after I stood up next to bed I said, oh I'm going to sleep again for maybe a half hour.

13:25 Just as I was going to sit down, in an Egyptian accent, a purely Egyptian, the word was

13:33 "Ew'a," means, "Don't you dare." "Ew'a terga' tani?" Ew'a. Ew'a. "Don't you go back again?" You know, I really wanted to, so I looked around.

13:44 And I thought maybe the radio was on. It was saying one word, but it was off.

13:49 It was very clear, loud and clear, "don't you go back to sleep."

13:54 You can imagine what happened after that.

13:59 And then whenever they do it, you're never afraid, you're never scared, it's very nice.

14:06 Doesn't matter what they do, you're never scared.

14:09 It is never a frightening experience, if anything, it's an exalting experience.

14:26 I'm sure quite a few of you, somehow, open up their eyes just at Fajr time, right? And

14:32 they're given the impression this is the time to pray.

14:38 That, I urge you to do that.

14:43 We go to surah 13, this will talk about this subject.

14:54 I'll give you the verse number, right?

15:31 I know, it's here.

15:36 Surah Thirteen?

15:37 Surah Thirteen.

15:38 Yeah, the angels take turns.

15:49 Is it 11?

15:50 Right, there we go.

15:52 Yeah, verse 11, each of you, that's you and me, each of you has a succession of angels

16:00 in front of you and behind you, who guard you in accordance with God's decision.

16:09 So you have angels around you who make sure that nothing happens to you except exactly

16:15 what is to happen to you.

16:24 It is just amazing, what is supposed to happen to you has to happen. And yet, it all

16:32 depends on your decisions and what you do.

16:37 And I have to tell you this story, it shows you exactly how it happened.

16:47 I had a friend who was talking about marijuana.

16:51 Marijuana.

16:54 I don't know how we got on the subject.

16:57 Oh, I was walking down the alley there and I saw high school kids at the corner there.

17:04 They were smoking.

17:05 And marijuana. Smoking.

17:08 And I smelled it. It's not cigarettes.

17:11 So I came near. Not that way. I didn't sniff that hard.

17:22 So I mentioned to my friend that it smells nice. And the friend said, yeah, that stuff is good.

17:35 Or something like that, something that is false.

17:39 So I said, well, expect a sting.

17:41 And if God doesn't like it, He says it's toxic, it's haram, it's prohibited.

17:47 And if God doesn't like it, you're not supposed to like it, or even praise it, or say anything

17:51 nice about it.

17:52 So you have to expect a sting.

17:54 And I wasn't, I felt like preaching.

17:57 You know, I took a lesson about this, that I held back.

18:04 That was my, it was a mistake on my part.

18:08 I felt that I was not doing justice to the subject, when I really should have.

18:14 Now, then that same day, the two of us, same two people, were starting a heater in one of the apartments.

18:23 I couldn't. And I was lighting the pilot. The pilot was not lighting, but all of a sudden

18:34 I heard the hissing of the gas. The hissing of the gas came in. Now, I'm not boasting,

18:43 but I'm not really dumb, you know. I know that if I strike a match, there's going to be

18:48 an explosion. But it was as if I was completely hypnotized. And I lit the match anyway.
