0:00 Ash-hadu an la ilaha illa Allah, wahdahu la sharika lah, lahul-mulk wa lahul-hamd, wa ilayhil-masir.

0:08 I'm going to start this khutbah

0:10 from the Bible.

0:15 It may be strange, but God says in the beginning of the Quran

0:18 that you must believe in the previous scriptures.

0:21 And the Bible is 90% truth, 10% distortion.

0:26 And unfortunately, most of that 10% distortion is the doctrine of the church.

0:34 So, we have the Quran as the criterion to correct any deviation.

0:42 A reading from Genesis 6:11 says,

0:48 "In the eyes of God the earth was corrupt and full of lawlessness.

0:53 When God saw how corrupt the earth had become,

0:57 since all mortals led astray lives on earth,

1:03 He said to Noah,

1:05 'I have decided to put an end to all mortals on earth.

1:10 The earth is full of lawlessness because of them.

1:14 So I will destroy them and all life on earth.

1:19 Make yourself an ark.'"

1:23 So the idea is, when there is too much lawlessness on earth,

1:34 disobedience of God, and non-adherence to the oneness of God, God destroys the earth.

1:42 And I want to use this to point out to you, that you probably saved the earth.

1:54 You, because you are people who believe in God alone, you do not idolize Muhammad,

2:00 or Jesus, or Mary, or any saint, or anyone, or anything.

2:07 You, because you have reached the conviction that God alone is king,

2:14 and God alone rules the world, and rules your life, every minute detail in it.

2:21 Nobody controls your life. You have come to this conviction.

2:24 You know that your boss has no authority over you.

2:27 God controls the minds and hearts of everybody, including the people around you.

2:34 Your boss, your spouse, your children, your parents, everybody. You've come to that conclusion.

2:43 Back in 1977, did we start the mosque in '77 or '78? '78? '78.

2:55 This mosque was established because we came to the conclusion that

3:00 the Quran, as God says, is the only source.

3:05 This is why this mosque started.

3:07 But before that, we want to look together at the earth.

3:10 Now God looked at the earth in Noah's time and He said,

3:14 "Nobody believes in God alone, and there is too much lawlessness.

3:17 So I'm going to destroy the earth and wipe out everybody."

3:22 That's what God said. We have it in the Quran and we have it in the Bible.

3:29 Now, of all the millions of Christians you see on earth, how many believe in God alone?

3:38 How many believe that Jesus is a human being who has no power to do anything?

3:43 A helpless, dead person. How many of the Christians believe that?

3:48 And I worship God alone. Of all the millions, of all the millions of Muslims

3:55 on earth, how many believe God when He says Quran alone? How many? How many

4:02 mosques on earth say, "ash-hadu an la ilaha illa Allah" without any other names in the Adhan?

4:08 How many? None. And you very probably saved the earth, because everybody was

4:18 corrupt. How many Jews adhere to the Book of God alone, and do not follow Hadith and

4:24 Sunnah? How many? None. They all follow Hadith and Sunnah. They don't follow

4:32 the Torah.

4:36 Exactly the words, Hadith and Sunnah.

4:38 In their language it is called

4:40 Mishnah, which is oral law.

4:42 or Hadith.

4:44 And Gemara, which means tradition.

4:46 So it is called Mishnah and Gemara.

4:47 It is called the Mishnah and Gemara.

4:49 It is not part of the Torah.

4:53 So these are the people who believe in God.

4:58 And they were all corrupt.

4:59 They are all too corrupt. It probably was a blessing from God that I worked for

5:06 the United Nations and traveled to every Muslim country. And everywhere I dug up the most

5:13 religious in every country, and I have not seen one place that does not praise and worship

5:21 Muhammad day and night, besides God. I mean they worship God, and they pray the five prayers

5:29 exactly to God, but they insert names of Muhammad and Ibrahim in their faith.

5:36 I haven't seen one place on earth that worships God alone.

5:49 When corruption takes over the earth, there is no need for the earth to exist.

5:57 The end of the world will come because there will be no one who worships God alone.

6:03 But it has been in God's knowledge and predestination that the Masjid of Tucson will come to be.

6:11 The people will worship God alone.

6:14 This is the only masjid on earth that says, "Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah."

6:19 Without any other name.

6:21 By the way, we have three people here.

6:23 Earlier, you saw me discuss things with them, and they were angry because in our Adhan,

6:30 Hussein, for instance. Guess why they were angry? Can anybody make a guess?

6:37 Who said that? Yeah, because they didn't say Muhammad? You're wrong. No.

6:43 Because we don't mention the name of Ali in the Adhan.

6:48 They happen to be Shiites.

6:52 We don't say, "ash-hadu anna Aliyyan waliyyullah."

6:56 To each his idol, you know.

6:59 What I mean, what they didn't like about our Adhan, I was just like Fatima, I thought, yeah,

7:03 well, he mentioned the name of Allah alone.

7:06 But they went on to indicate it was because Ali's name was not there.

7:13 But this is the only mosque in the world that mentions the name of Allah alone.

7:18 In our Salah, in our Zikr, I challenge anyone on any spot on earth.

7:25 There isn't any faith that has only the name of God.

7:30 And when corruption spreads in this way, God destroys the earth.

7:40 I want you to look at, in the Quran, at Surah Ar-Rum, verse 41, that is page 278.

8:01 Verse 41 says, "Corruption has prevailed throughout the land and sea due to the people's work."

8:11 In my new translation it will have "misery" instead of "corruption." Misery.

8:16 Therefore He makes them suffer, well it's self-explanatory, He makes them suffer in

8:21 the consequences of their works that they may return.

8:30 It's very, very possible that you saved the earth.

8:36 Do you hear what's happening in California?

8:39 Did you see what happened to Malibu beach?

8:43 All those mansions turned into strips.

8:48 This is God. God is angry at California.

8:51 This is California from border to border.

8:53 From Mexico to Oregon, it's being slammed, hit. Unbelievable, the pictures that you saw.

9:02 It is believable of course. God is angry at California.

9:07 As we see in the Bible, in the Quran, and God's law never changes.

9:11 Back in 1977, there was no one on earth that I know of anyway, that worshipped

9:22 God alone. They always had idols beside them. You look at the Christians, the Jews, the...

9:28 Muslims. And it is an unfortunate fact of life, what we want to show you in this slide.

9:43 This is a statement in the Quran, that the majority of people, no matter what you do,

9:49 will not believe, are not believers.

9:54 This statement here says that of the believers, the majority of them will not believe in God alone.

9:59 And then you take the minority, that is the believers, and God says a statement of fact

10:05 that is assured by a double negative. That the majority of the minority, the

10:13 majority of the believers are idol worshippers. What's it called? Idol worshippers.

10:19 They worship God, but they also idolize Muhammad, or Jesus, or Mary, or somebody, or

10:25 something. They just cannot come all the way to La ilaha illa Allah, to worshiping God alone.

10:33 So if you are with the majority, you will be in trouble. Even if you are with the majority of the minority.

10:43 If you are with the minority of believers, you have to find out are you in the majority of this minority or are you in the minority of the minority.

10:51 You are elite of the elite. And that's very difficult.

11:00 The problem is, these people who are believers but they fell into idol worship, they think they are righteous.

11:08 They sincerely think they are righteous. As we see out here. They think that they are rightly guided.

11:15 They think that they are rightly guided. They think they are rightly guided. Repeated in the Quran.

11:22 And here, this is a verse that you are familiar with, on the Day of Judgment,

11:26 where they say, "By God our Lord, we were not idol-worshippers."

11:31 On the Day of Judgment, that's what they'll say.

11:34 And these words, "we were not idol-worshippers."

11:43 We're still on the same page, 30:41.

11:51 I am going to go on to page 278.

11:55 Say, travel the earth and see the consequences for those before you.

11:59 Or look at California.

12:01 The majority of them were idolatrous.

12:06 Therefore, you shall devote yourself to the perfect religion

12:11 before a day comes that is inevitable.

12:14 On that day, the people will be shocked.

12:19 Whoever disbelieves does so to his own detriment, and those who work righteousness do so for their own good.

12:27 God bestows His grace upon those who believe and work righteousness. He does not love the disbelievers.

12:57 When you come to La ilaha illa Allah, you come all the way to La ilaha illa Allah, you deserve

13:00 what you're tested with.

13:03 Because as you see, you are a very small minority of the minority.

13:10 You are a very special person when you come to La ilaha illa Allah, and Satan will concentrate

13:17 all his forces on you, he does not want you to make it, because when you make it, making

13:25 it means kingship on earth, sovereignty on earth, and ruling all your surroundings, perfect

13:31 happiness in this world and in the hereafter. But that's nothing easy. I mean to

13:37 qualify for a job, you go to the university and work your head off for

13:42 four years to qualify for a job. So to qualify for kingship on earth, what do you

13:48 expect? It's very difficult. And this is why

13:52 Alright, let's look at 29:2, Surah 29, page 270.

14:08 Do the people think they will be left to say, "we believe,"

14:12 without being put to the test?

14:14 We have tested the generations before them,

14:17 for God must distinguish those who are truthful

14:20 from those who are liars.

14:22 You cannot be left, you will not be left alone to say, "I believe."

14:26 You have to be put to the test, and it is a severe test.

14:31 Because there is too much at stake.

14:34 There is kingship on earth at stake, there is perfect happiness.

14:38 So you have to be put to the test, because God wants to

14:42 show you to the angels, and to tell them

14:46 look at my creature, under any circumstances he believes in me.

14:50 Look at Surah 12, 38, let's start at 38, Surah 12, 38, page 158, this is Joseph speaking,

15:11 I follow the religion of my fathers Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, we never worship anything

15:16 anything beside God. This is but grace from God upon us and upon the people, but

15:22 most people are not appreciative. Now, verse 39, O my prison companions, is it

15:30 better to have several lords, or God, the One, the Supreme? You worship nothing

15:38 beside God but names that you made up, you and your parents. God never authorized

15:43 any power in them. Kingship belongs only to God. He commanded that you shall not

15:49 worship except Him. This is the perfect religion but most people do not know.

15:53 Now here is Joseph preaching one God and worshiping one God and where is he? In prison.

16:01 He is a prophet of God in prison. Because God wants to show the angels and Satan

16:11 that look at my servant Joseph, look at my creature Joseph. Doesn't matter what

16:17 condition he's in, he knows I am the King, and he worships me alone. Look at 42, he

16:27 then said to the one to be saved, "Remember me to your lord, the king." But the devil

16:33 made him forget the remembrance of his Lord, and Joseph remained in prison a few

16:38 more years. A prophet of God, Joseph, who preaches the one God. And just like that,

16:45 a few more years in prison. Some people come to me and say, I've been a Submitter two weeks,

16:51 why am I having all these problems? Patience. You have to have patience. Here is Joseph

17:01 in prison, and the man who was supposed to remember him, he forgot, so Joseph stays in prison

17:09 a few more years. But listen, you're guaranteed kingship on earth. Let us go on to verse 90

17:20 of the same surah of Joseph. What does 90 say? Page 162. They said, "Are you indeed Joseph?"

17:34 it's his brothers. He said, "I am Joseph, and this is my brother. God has been gracious

17:40 to us, if anyone works righteousness and steadfastly perseveres." This is required, patience, steadfastness,

17:51 You can't come to Submission for six months and then demand kingship on earth. You must

17:56 steadfastly persevere. You must prove that you really believe under any

18:03 circumstance. You have to be put to the test. But you are in God's eyes throughout the

18:08 test. He may push you to the brink, but He will always watch over you. You will

18:13 never fall. Because if you fall, He will hold you back. But you will be on the brink, because

18:19 God wants to be proud of you, and He wants to tell Satan and the angels, "Look

18:23 at my creature, it doesn't matter what condition he is in."

18:27 Now look at 110 of the same surah, page 164.

18:34 When the messengers reached the point of despair and thought that they had been lied to,

18:39 our victory came to them.

18:41 We then save whomever we wish, while the guilty can never evade our retribution.

18:47 So when you reach the point of despair, you are a believer in God alone, nothing

18:54 changes the conviction, then comes kingship on earth. Joseph was a king on

19:00 earth, and he was controlling the provisions for the whole Middle East. His

19:06 brothers came from Palestine all the way to Egypt to beg for grain, and he was giving

19:11 them a camel-load per person. He decided that. He was in command of that. He was a king

19:18 on earth. His brothers and his parents, they fell prostrate before him. This is what is

19:25 guaranteed for you. But you have to steadfastly persevere, you have to prove yourself.

19:37 What happens in the test, it is an agreement that God has with Satan. He says,

19:45 "You go and do anything you want, and if you can take them, they are yours." Now here we are,

19:52 Satan is our most ardent enemy, and when you come to La ilaha illallah, he will come

19:57 and tempt you with your most urgent needs. If you need money, he will tempt you with money.

20:07 If you need sex, he will tempt you with sex. Whatever is your most urgent need, He will

20:12 tempt you with that. He will take you away from La ilaha illallah.

20:18 And if you fall, his bait is delicious and powerful. The bait for the fish must be the best.

20:26 When you go fishing, you pick out the best bait. Salmon eggs.

20:31 We'll just find something better. Worms, whatever.

20:34 The bait must be fantastic for the fish.

20:37 But as soon as you catch the fish, what do you do to it?

20:40 You cut its head and you fry it in oil. You take its intestines out.

20:45 This is what Satan will do to you.

20:48 Once he has you. Because he's our enemy.

20:51 See, the test is very powerful. This is why Job said the following in Surah 38,

21:00 look at Surah 38, verse 41.

21:08 Surah 38, verse 41, page 312.

21:12 Recall our servant Job. He called his Lord, saying,

21:16 the devil has afflicted me with disease and suffering. It's not God who really afflicts.

21:22 See what happened as we learn from the story of Job, is that God was proud of Job.

21:28 And he was telling the angels and Satan, look at my servant Job, he worships me alone. You

21:34 know, they are very rare people. The people who worship God alone are very rare. And God

21:40 was proud of Job at the time, and he was telling the angels, look at my servant Job.

21:46 And Satan said, well look at him, he is rich, he has a family, he is not under any pressure,

21:53 so why shouldn't he worship you? And God said, okay, I'm going to lend you Job for a while.

21:59 Now remember Job is always in God's eye, and Satan has limits where he can go.

22:03 So, Satan started to work on Job.

22:09 And this is why you see, recall our servant Job, he called his Lord saying, the devil

22:14 has afflicted me with disease and suffering.

22:18 He knows.

22:19 Job knows.

22:21 And so, God may lend you to Satan for a while.

22:26 And if Satan gets you in his hands, just like when you catch a fish, he's going to gut you.

22:42 You must steadfastly persevere, and you cannot flunk a test.

22:46 And when you flunk a test, you regress, you start again at square one, square zero.

22:54 So, we have to turn to God right now and do two things, first, thank Him for saving the

23:00 planet earth because of us, thank Him for guiding us, whatever led our steps to this

23:07 place, me and you, this is the greatest blessing that ever happened to you, and we have to

23:15 thank God for it.

23:15 then we're going to ask God to keep us on the path

23:19 steadfast, to persevere, no matter what happens

23:23 Steadfast, to persevere, la ilaha illallah

23:25 nothing will take us away

23:28 Natoobu ilallah.

23:53 I have been talking in the last khutbahs about situations in the hereafter, actual situations

24:00 in the hereafter.

24:02 And in my last khutbah I talked to you about the verse that you saw here, where God gathers

24:07 people and asks them, Where are your idols to help you?, and they say, by God our Lord we

24:12 were not idol worshipers.

24:14 It's an actual situation where people are not aware now, they swear to you they are

24:19 not idol worshippers.

24:21 And they swear then on the Day of Judgment that they are not idol worshippers, they are

24:26 not aware.

24:27 And I went through the signs of idol worship, that they cannot stand to talk about God

24:34 alone, they cannot quote the Quran alone, 17:45, and they cannot accept what God says

24:40 in the Quran.

24:41 When He said Muhammad was astray and was guided, I have read the translation for you.

24:47 Incredible wasn't it? They changed his straying into a virtue.

24:54 He was lost in love for this world, for its people, whatever the great distraction was.

24:59 And I will connect that situation with a specific situation in the hereafter.

25:13 This was a human being. This was a human being.

25:20 Someday I'm going to look like this.

25:27 Someday you'll look like this.

25:29 Just imagine handsome Abdullah is going to look like this someday.

25:37 Beautiful Rahimah will look like this, someday.

25:42 For some people, like myself, this is an improvement.

25:49 This person had beautiful teeth.

25:51 This was a person that lived on earth, just like we are now.

25:57 And you can imagine how much time was spent just for this eating.

26:02 And this happens to be a female, and can you imagine how many times she chewed food?

26:12 You can look, you can see the teeth, how much food this person had to eat.

26:18 She probably worked, she had a boss, she had lots of friends.

26:29 She drove a car, maybe.

26:33 She had fights with her friends, and relatives.

26:38 She had plans.

26:44 She made love.

26:45 Look down. See, I don't know how many miles she walked. This was a person. You're going to be

26:57 like this. Your body will be like this. Now, I want to draw your attention to God's design.

27:06 Imagine God designing the human skull, just the skull. Imagine, just for the sake of understanding,

27:14 Imagine God as a great architect, chairman of the board at a big desk, designing the human skull.

27:22 And God says, "I'm going to leave two openings for the eyes, because this human being will have two eyes."

27:29 And there has to be an opening in here for the nose, to breathe.

27:34 Here and here. Now, the eyes go in these holes, so God said, "I'm going to make these eye sockets."

27:43 And if you look in there, you see very tiny holes inside for the optic nerve to go through to the brain.

27:55 And if you look in here, you see the sinus passages.

28:03 And the teeth are something else, the design of the teeth, the cutters and the grinders.

28:12 An opening for the ear, you see the small opening on the side?

28:15 From the ear hole here, it leads to the auditory nerve, on to the brain.

28:23 And this is very hard, you know, to protect the brain.

28:27 God put the brain inside this case.

28:32 Now, God didn't put these things on there, the strings. Those have been put there.

28:40 My goodness, see, this is very tough. It's made of a number of layers, you can see the layers.

28:47 This was a human being, look what we're doing with her.

28:51 The brain is protected in fluid, which is very important.

28:56 I can see the opening at the bottom of the skull, for the spine.

29:02 Everything in the body is controlled from here.

29:13 Now I want to move on to a situation in the hereafter.

29:18 This person, this was the garment.

29:24 This person was buried. But the person herself is asleep. She doesn't know that she died.

29:55 Then this person, let us say she is an average Christian, or an average Muslim, or an average

30:02 Jew, who fell into idolatry, when she gets up, she would rise then.

30:11 Resurrection. All the people who ever existed on earth will be up on this earth,

30:18 resurrected.

30:20 And this Methodist says, "My God, it's true! Wow, everything we heard is true! We see the

30:32 resurrection."

30:36 I didn't pay attention to this day.

30:40 Look at that big person over there.

30:44 See? They have a small sign.

30:49 And she would go to this great person and she would say, how did you get like that?

30:55 And he would say, "Well, for one thing, I never missed breakfast."

31:01 It never fails.

31:05 And she would say, "Well, I didn't miss breakfast either.

31:09 You know, eggs and bread."

31:14 And the other fellow was saying, "Yeah, but were you purifying your garment? You didn't keep..."

31:20 How was my acting, by the way?

31:23 Not bad, either.

31:26 I should have also the voice tone, you know.

31:28 "Oh, what made you do that?"

31:29 "I don't know."

31:31 Well.

31:34 Just don't call Hollywood.

31:36 I'm not in a position to do that.

31:38 I don't want the director bugging me, you know.

31:44 But this is an actual situation where people will be in different, different sizes.

31:49 And then she will ask, "What is going to happen now?"

31:52 He will say, "Well, the next thing that will happen is God will come to this earth.

32:00 And the energy associated with God is equivalent to millions of hydrogen bombs.

32:07 If you imagine this earth with a million hydrogen bombs falling on it, what would happen?

32:13 See, this is why God taught us nuclear science.

32:16 This is why God let us invent hydrogen bombs.

32:20 So we can understand what happens when heat comes.

32:24 This is what the Quran says."

32:30 And the big person will go on and say, "When God comes, you cannot stand the Lord.

32:36 The energy associated with God is equivalent to millions of hydrogen bombs.

32:41 And when God comes, this whole earth is going to shatter into pieces.

32:46 Like a million hydrogen bombs hit it.

32:50 The stars will crash and disintegrate,

32:54 and you are going to be in bad trouble.

32:57 You cannot stand the presence of God.

33:01 So, child, then what will you do?"

33:04 I say, "I'm going to feed on that energy.

33:06 I'm going to enjoy it immensely.

33:09 And as soon as God comes,

33:10 we're going to be stratified

33:12 into ranks.

33:14 You will have to run away

33:17 to Hell."

33:21 This will be actual conversation.

33:25 And she will say, "Well, I'm going to run to Jesus and see if he can help me.

33:33 Because I believe in Jesus."

33:38 And she may go up to Jesus, and he would say, "I'm in deep trouble myself.

33:44 I have my own troubles.

33:45 You know, all that has happened right now is the initial resurrection has taken place.

33:50 I can't help you.

33:53 God is the one who created you, God is the one who provided for you, God is the one who

33:57 terminated your life, God is the one who resurrected you, and God is the one who will hold you

34:04 to account, hold you to account."

34:07 If this person were a "Muslim," he would say, "I am going to run to Muhammad; he is my shafi'."

34:12 he is my intercessor.

34:21 You have to believe in God alone.

34:27 That day is going to come. See, this person leaves here on earth and forgets everything

34:33 he was doing. Now, and you are going to be like this person someday.

34:42 You may not look this good by the way, but you do look very good, if you have this much

34:50 faith.

34:55 So you must, in order to stay on the path, you must... you must remember those awful situations that we will be in there.

35:02 situations that we will be in.

35:03 And this is why God puts belief in the Hereafter next to belief in Him.

35:08 Therefore, if you fall short, you cannot make it.

35:11 You cannot just believe in God, or you will go to hell.

35:13 You saw the slide.

35:15 The majority of people who believe in God are going to hell.

35:18 You must believe in God and the Hereafter.

35:25 You must never neglect to feed your soul.

35:29 Because this is what the battle is about, right?

35:31 And people like myself, we've been grappling with it.

35:34 Even, you know, that somebody in there might shout from there, "You know, I don't care for it, it's a garment that they throw away!"

35:42 Remember your old clothes? You throw them away. What can you do with them now?

35:48 Your body is just like that, old clothes, old garments.

35:56 So, if you neglect to clean your clothes, it's your own fault.

36:02 The five prayers are useless if you idolize anyone else besides God.

36:14 God must be the only one, not number one.

36:18 Because number one needs to have a number two.

36:21 God must be the only one in your life.

36:28 Allahummaghfir lil-mu'minina wal-mu'minat, wal-muslimina wal-muslimat, al-ahya'i minhum wal-amwat.
